It's been a long time since the last post, but I have to share my problem with you.
I bought this version in September 2019. Unfortunately, it immediately had a problem with a malfunctioning rotor. It turned one way without resistance, and the other very hard. As far as I know, this mechanism has a double-sided winding.
After a few days, the rotor blocked in one direction (in resistance way). Therefore, it stopped working every few dozen hours. I had to wind it with a crown. It wasn't a working watch. I contacted the seller and he told me to send it back for repair. I am writing briefly, because it was not so easy to force him to do so.
The watch was turned back from the border. I tried again and the luck came. The seller was unable to say anything specific "because he is only the seller". In my opinion, there should be contact with the maker and I should get feedback. OK, it's actually more important, that the watch comes back in working order.
Unfortunately, it was not given to me. The watch came back in practically the same condition. I got pissed off and demanded a refund. Head against the wall, of course. However, after many e-mails (in which he asked about nonsense such as how I wear the watch), he decided to have it repaired - the entire mechanism was to be replaced.
I thought great! I sent and waited, waited, finally a feedback with tracking number.
And ass. The first three days it worked and in the morning it stopped (I had it on my wrist all the time). I wound it with lace. It walked for 3 days and stopped again (still on my hand).
I checked the rotor and it only turned in one direction. I ask the seller what is it about, has it been repaired? "Of course and checked too."
Nerves again and lots of e-mails. Then he graciously asked me: "Are you able to remove the rotor and reinstall ?" OK, I can try - it is not to hard (I'm not a watchmaker). After removing the rotor, I noticed, that the little gold gear underneath it does not rotate in one direction (I checked very gently with a toothpick). He told me "Apply a little clear lubricant and see if it will free things up?". Damn, what oil, I have nothing like that. I have to buy everything now and rummage in the clock myself? I told him that and a few other words and he fell silent.
I assembled without lubrication and at the beginning the rotor was spinning like crazy in one direction and not in the other. The watch stopped walking so I shook it and it worked again. After a dozen or so hours, I noticed, that the rotor started to turn in both directions the same and with a slight scratch. Surprisingly, waving it for several seconds made it wind up and work. Unfortunately, for a few hours or less. I had it in my hand and it was not enough for it, I had to wave it on purpose. It also turned out that the crown no longer winds the watch.
I do not give this seller on purpose yet, maybe he is reading this forum and he will act honorably and professionally.
What's your opinion guys? I can't fix it myself (I have not experience), and I don't know such a watchmaker in the area.
I would be grateful for your experience and comments.
