I found the missing screw! It was wedged between movement and case. Now the problem is that the screw is smaller than any screw driver I have!! Joy.

Just a standard black PAM strap. The original is too hard (black with white stitching) so changed it. May get a nice gen strap at some point.

Hey just wondering what are the chances of this being regarded as a super rep? I thought the 441 had the flaw of 24hr gmt. Since the 312 has no gmt, is there a chance for this to be super rep status, or some things still off?

Does it matter if it does have that status ? its very close but also with the so called super reps there are still a few flaws wich can be noticed by trained eyes, the new VSF is a nice rep the movement looks identical but under the hood its not, while the 111 etc have a similar movenent design so makes this more a super rep or not?

Well not really. Morw informational purposes. I actually did place an order myself for 1359 (changed order from 441 and 1312) so that's no issue for me.

I couldn't stand the fake PR on my 438 and that's why I sold it it. Otherwise it's a brilliant watch. Would have one in a heartbeat if they fix the faux PR on the back

PAM 441 could not e a super rep due to GMT 24 hrs instead of 12 hrs like gen, and the crown functions which are not at all the same as gen
PAM 312 has the advantage of not having GMAT function but the crown functions remain the same (inaccurate and obvious flaw. If we consider it a Super rep it would be"bordering lower status". Although I would lean towards: First Class rep bordering Super rep status

To get a gen is a deeply personal choice, if you so feel that the experience with reps disappoints you that much, then maybe it is for you. I've had some not so good experience with reps, considering how many I've bought already through the years. But nothing that would discourage me from continuously buying reps. I just temper my experience with acceptance of what is the reality of owning a rep. It softens the blow for the most part.

Absolutely agree here. I've had both gen and rep in hand. I definitely agree with first class rep bordering super rep status.

The differences are: DW font color (big tell), DW font not entirely correct, DW slightly too deep. Bezel edge not as smooth as gen. Trademark engraving not as deep. CG lever doesn't snap shut as well as gen. Finishing on CG not as good. CG not as flush with case as gen. And of course the movement is not the same - there are differences but one would have to know exactly what to look at. And of course P9000 functions.

I have to say the dial finishing is as good as gen. Case is also very good. As you can see I scrutinize a lot, and I cannot find a difference between rep and gen looking at the dial to my naked eye. Overall feel of the watch is exactly as gen. So my conclusion is while its not a 'super rep', the level of finishing and quality on this watch is very good.

I've been on the fence of what next get to get PAM-wise and was thinking the 312 was going to be it but now I've worn it for a couple of weeks I'm not sure I can justify it!
