I brokered a very large estate sale and took the watch is partial payment… I really wanted to watch but now I need the money… Which is also why I cannot send it out to be authenticated…

Unfortunately this is like 1 out of 100 reps sold on Ebay every day. My dad (71y old) fell for one of those Rolexes years ago. Came with box and 'fake' papers.
Brought it to the watch smith the next day just to find out that it was a rep. Took months to get a refund from Ebay.

It's like those sellers who post 10 pictures of an iPhone 7 and then ship the box of a phone, because a bunch of housewives didn't read the description. Some still get away with it.

[h=3]Ok when I took it to the dealer I was told that the watch has all the correct markings, it's weight and size are perfect! I just don't have any box or paperwork! To open it and authenticate it requires sending it in to Rolex and having them open it because anyone other than Rolex could compromise the watch. This would also take 30-90 days and cost a lot of money... it's a beautiful watch and if I didn't need the money I'd keep it!!
