I have sent parcels to the UK from the US. It us my understanding that although you can't track the package along the way, it will let you know when it was delivered. I believe this is done through the number on the customs form....although I could be completely wrong about everything I just said. You should check into though.

He last contacted me by email on November 2nd. His email stated he would deal with me through Paypal. After which, he escalated the dispute to a claim less than 24 hours later. I sent him an email this evening to see if he had any updates from his side.

I see he bought quite a nice rep from you. I really hope things work out but without being able to prove he actually got the package its gonna be difficult. I can only assume he's gonna say he never got it and keep the funds and the watch. What's PP saying to you and what did he tell PP he bought??

This sort of shit really pisses me off. Very sorry for you here bro. Have you tried checking the barcode you have on An Post? Here is a direct link. Worth a go https://track.anpost.ie

If you did your order online and just handed the package over to USPS, surely you have evidence of this. They give you some kind of receipt when you drop off the parcel right. So at least you can prove you sent it. Will it be insured through USPS? If so and he pulls the old "I never received it" card and PP refund him, at least you could claim back from USPS

That's why tracking is so important, it protects the buyer and seller, at least somewhat.

I will never order anything without tracking. Even from big box stores. I have lost my ass on a PC build I did a few years back. Never again. lol. Lesson learned.

Uh, this sounds crap... Do you still hold the shipping receipt? I once had a PP dispute going on on eBay (buyer said he did not receive), but once I provided proof I shipped they ruled against the claim...
Was in EU though with DHL, so probably not comparable.
Fingers crossed everything works out well!

Paypal has yet to respond, other than to ask to confirm my shipment/tracking number and provide any other relevant information. I did so, and it is now under review. As far as I know, he has said nothing about what he bought, only that the parcel did not arrive.

Thank you for the link. I have been monitoring that site throughout to see if it will show up in the system. Also, I contacted AnPost to see if they could look into this further.

Unfortunately when dropping off the package I did not request a receipt. After a few days of showing that the package was "Preparing Shipment", I went back in to see why nothing was updated. Talked to both the person I handed it to and the supervisor. The supervisor checked their system and confirmed it was scanned in they day I dropped it off. I asked why it was not showing in the system, and the only answer I recieved was tracking would not update. I asked for something showing the information that it had been scanned. They refused to provide it stating it would cause a ticket within their system which would create an error. So far my attempts to get any further information from USPS have been completely unsuccessful.

It sounds like the already have an "error in their sytem"

I was confused by this too. I do not understand why they could not at least print a screenshot or something showing this...I will go back in Monday and raise hell again to see if they will find some way to get me what I need.

Absolutely!. Priority Mail International is supposed to provide tracking at least until it leaves the country using the customs label number. If they can't provide that, they need to provide you with all the information they DO have about the parcel. They absolutely have a record if it was scanned. If you don't get anywhere, ask to speak to your local postmaster

Unless you used a flat rate envelope or small flat rate box, you can also file a formal "inquiry" with the USPS as soon as 3 business days after mailing. They will correspond with the foreign postal service and issue you a formal reply about the status of the package. Maybe you could use this to "fight back" with PayPal, especially if they are able to confirm it was delivered? It says it can take up to 60 days, but at least it's something.

True. On one hand, great to see the people first looking after the 'injured' mate. On the other hand: there's always some who run after the shit guy in the meantime.
I worked in Eire for a couple of years and the 'Oirish' overall probably are the cutest self-pride nation I met so far. Knowing they developed from farmers to the Celtic Tiger within extremely short time thanks to a lots of help from the EU and foreign workers, but also due to their own hard work and very 'special' cool- and kindness to approach anything and anyone and especially for their family (incredible loyality towards elderly and impaired people).
I felt very honored working there and living with truly awesome-from-heart people.

You, Matthew O'Connor aka johnnyshitbollox, are a shame for this nation. The narcist, ugly, disgraceful last born who feels just misunderstood but in reality indeed just is an arsehole and that's why nobody loves you.

Try to wake up and correct this, keep the littlest flame of hope you could recover in the Brig burning... Don't blow it out by believing the solar system centers at you. New discoveries of where you belong might hit you soon following other threads like this...

Yeah, same here, sub4me. Shame on the PP disputer who deserves to be Brigged, but the seller's "dog-ate-my-homework" story just isn't adding up either.

Yeah, I realize how fishy it all seems that nothing has updated. Maybe is seems like I am making excuses, but I am not. I have nothing to hide and I happily provide the tracking information I have. Additionally I can provide the pictures of the watch being packed and the package sealed and ready to be handed over for shipment.
