@treyhlb great job helping @Jimr042682 out on this. Hate seeing there may have been some monkey business here, but love seeing some RWI teamwork.

Same seller sold me a clean v1 batgirl and the serial numbers are incorrect on that also. So clearly it’s an issue…
Did you pay Friends and Family or Goods and Services?
He was a member for less than a year on the forum when you negotiated your deal. It’s certainly your option to ignore all of our warnings and advice NOT to pay FF, but when you do that you forfeit all assistance from staff in recovering your funds or your watch if the deal goes south. You made that decision and you have to live with it. Thanks for the heads up. We will investigate the seller but you are on your own in resolving the issue.I paid friends bc I bought the batgirl and honestly I’m happy with it. He had 70 previous sales. Once I brought up this issue Mods told me others have had issues also. I had no reason to think it wasn’t a v4 noob.
The batgirl is def a clean the serial number is off. Only reason I looked was bc of the fl Daytona I bought off them.
If he won’t make it right that’s fine. At least I got a watch and not a complete scam. Yes I understand the risks but PayPal goods also sides with the selller if they can prove tracking. I doubt they’re going to back up illegal goods anyway. He was a member for less than a year on the forum when you negotiated your deal. Who else is at fault? It’s between the buyer and the seller. The Staff members aren’t experts on all of these replicas. They don’t know how to tell the different versions. If you don’t know what your buying don’t buy it. If it were me I’d just enjoy the watch or sell it for what it’s worth. Take it up with the seller if you are unhappy.Seems like a lot of people want to fault innocent buyers when we’re not experts. When someone says it’s a noob v4 that’s what I expect. I don’t know how to tell all the different versions. But with this watch there was issues so I investigated further and it’s clearly not as described.
The fault is on the seller, clearly who resells watches and misrepresents them. If a TD sold something that wasn’t as claimed it would be the same thing.Who else is at fault? Hello to all. Hope you had a good easter weekend.
I have just logged on to RWI and saw this mess that happened. From my side of the story, the daytona was on trade to me, where the seller assured me it was a Noob v4. I then checked the clasp code and rehaut, and confirmed it before posting it as a v4.
[STAFF HOLD] - [WTS][WW] Noob 116500LN Daytona Panda v4
Hi everyone. For sale is a Panda Daytona from the Legendary Noob Factory. Sports the clone 4130 movement which is smoother than every other rep currently produced. Great base watch for a franken, and is currently still the best panda dial as compared to Clean in my opinion, due to the better...forum.replica-watch.info
Please see the photos in the link up here. I never made any amends or edits to the photos, they were taken straight out of the camera. I am sure photo of the watch posted is the exact same as the one I sent him.
After noticing that the bezel was faded, I also sent the buyer a replacement bezel, free of charge.
As for the batgirl, I purchased it as a Clean, and then proceeded to swap it with a deep crystal and new gasket. I had no reason to suspect that it was not, as I noticed that the bezel was Gen construction, which the other factories making the 126710 Batgirl I had worked on did not have (GMF and GSF). The clasp code was also CF.
Here are the original photos of the batgirl provided to the buyer if anyone would like to reference. https://imgur.com/a/LZLR9lw
I would like to make it clear that I had no intentions of misleading or scamming the buyer, and had been prompt to providing a solution to the issue, free of charge. I have also offered to take both back and offer a full refund if he chooses.
Edit: I now realise that the CF Batgirl is a mistake on my part. It was not a v1 as advertised to the buyer, but in fact a later version with random serial, thus causing confusion to the buyer. The clasp code is Y8C, which is correct for a CF.
