Does anyone know where I can find an orange bezel that will fit onto the VSF 8500 42mm CrPO?

I think the 42mm VSF CrPO is the perfect watch to use for my little project. Adding a genuine 8500 movement, dial, hands, DW crystal, ceramic bezel, crown, He-Valve and Bracelet. :D

I'm very impressed by the Aqua Terra from VSF so hoping I will have the CrPO in my hands within a week or so.

I have a little stock left of parts for some projects I have in mind. Most of them I had on special order through Cousins UK before the Swatch Group restrictions applied. Also I have a very good contact that can get pre-owned pars if I'm patient and wait because the delivery times are very irregular. They are mostly in a condition that I'm able to restore to mint.

Color is a bit off and the font is to fat on the rep.

You can’t make that conclusion.

Here’s the Same dial, different pics :

Still not the right shade of orange, but no one will notice, exept myself. I will pull the triggar on the silver one. Sad because the orange number planet ocean is my absolut favorit watch. :/

Not nitpicking, but out of sheer curiosity: does anybody know what this part does, or rather why it even exists, since VSF repped the rest of the movement perfectly? Kinda looks like they repurposed the balance assembly from a 8215 movement. Can't blame them though for not producing the whole thing from scratch.

That part is not there only for show, it's the rate adjustment lever. Moving it clockwise you speed the movement up, moving it the other direction slow it down.
And the other lever is for the beat rate of the movement, have just adjusted mine.

Do you think the color is close?
Also the font is looking to fat on the rep, and gen numbers is more metal, rep more glossy.

I'd say it's just different light sources. The gen video was shot under some sort of halogen/showroom style lights while mech500 's video was apparently shot on a cloudy day outside. Just looked at photos from my old noob version (which has the correct metallic shine) and it doesn't look much different from the VSF.

w0rn thanks for clearing that up, learned something new today! ;)

My TD (Supermirrors) says that he can't get the 42mm silver numbers CrPO at the moment..

Definitely, the bezel and movement where the only weak points of the otherwise perfect Noob. Although some comparison shots (or even better, a video) between Noob and VSF dials would be very much appreciated.

Got mine in as well. Opted for the orange numbers as I have a gen with silver numbers. Pretty impressive. I mean sure, there are a few things ever so slightly off but way better than the Noob.
The only thing that bothers me (and all other PO's that I ever had really) is that the bracelet of the rep doesn't fold at the end links like a real one. Gen links are pretty flush, rep fails to fold that way. Unfortunate but I was planning to wear it on an Isofrane anyway.

Could you replace the SEL on the rep with the gen and see if that makes a difference?

OMG, I am in love - forget about the LMPO. I opt for the silver number version as soon as it is available. We just need to figure out the flush bracelet thing, this looks just wrong. Can you maybe do a comparison picture from different angles?

Also, a huuuuuge thank you for the comparison pictures with your gen, really appreciated!

Pretty hard decision, the silver numbers or the orange numbers? I decided on the orange numbers, since I'm very much looking forward to wear this with the black rubber and orange stitching strap. It is quite a sporty look. Based on your pics Fracture, I cannot wait to receive it! :)
