VSF: Which watch do you want replicated?

VSF so far, has come out with only PAM reps. So they're trying to make their presence felt with brands that have a huge following. Maybe later they'll do a niche brand like Bremont like what SF did with Sevenfriday. But not right now.

It would be nice for VSF to make one of the new SIHH2017 PAMs like the BMG-Tech or the Bluezo. Those aren't repped yet and if they're the first to come out with a super rep of those (well for the BMG-tech maybe first class), they will make a killing.

How about making a accurate Speedmaster Moonwatch then .. make a mint in every version and popularity

If we're going to go mention every brand/watch here, this will be a long list. :D

Anyway, what have we seen so far from VSF? Movements. The P.9000/9001 with the correct @7 balance wheel and now the Rattrapante movement. They haven't made any other groundbreaking developments in their PAM releases so far. So they're possible to possibly fix any brand/model that is almost there at super rep level, but has been held back by its current rep movement. Sometimes, there is some subdial/pusher placement issues, but those are, in essence, traceable to the movement being used.

Since the Rattrapante movement is here already, I wonder if VSF can release a Flyback movement with pushers on the left side and give us a properly working PAM580 and PAM615. Even some of the newly announced America's Cup Panerai have Flybacks.

Ohh yes, I hope so, too!!

But what I have seen today blew my mind:

The PAM00703 - LUMINOR 1950 FIRENZE Tourbillion GMT
http://www.horobox.com/en/review-detail/?UserKey=Officine-Panerai-PAM00703&P=1

I know this is a bit old news, and yes yes, everyone has it's own taste, but this looks sooo kitchy beautiful, that it's pure awesomeness IMHO!
Moreover I know that this will be an illusion to get a rep of this unique piece... too bad.

Leaving aside the tourbillon movement, a passable copy can be created but nothing more than that. Unless VSF is equipped to blow us away. :)

Hmmmm i was surprised to come back to this thread and see some of the responses.

Unless vsf is some super factory with ability to do magic we might be asking a bit much. What is known to date is theyve done a nice visual copy of the 9000/9001 movement. You know a movement thats taken a few years to hit us..

You missed the Rattrapante movement. ;)

Like I said, VSF so far has demonstrated two new movements that are moving this hobby of ours forward. So let's push them but don't expect too much. The PAM187's current issue is the "flatlands" dial (strange as the previous version already had the correct one) so making a correct dial should be relatively easy. The PAM684 and PAM684 both present mostly new parts related to its 42mm design, except for the P.9010 but those should still be doable.

Indeed. You are right. I did miss that.

For all GMT-PAMs: A 12h GMT hand would be an awesome complication. Doesn't even have to work like in the gen where you can move it independently from hour to hour.

I don't quite understand. A GMT hand should be able to move independently of the main hour hand either on a 24-hour or 12-hour version.

Correct. But gen movement also is able to set local hours independent from minutes. That's what I meant. However, all I'm asking for is 12h GMT so I can hide the GMT hand.

Agree that 187 key issue is the flat subdial, and as you say should be easy to solve, but nobody do it.

Any recommendations? Someone have a right dial?

If you're not going to use the GMT, then might as well have the GMT hand attached to the hour hand. :) Also the GMT function is not always 12-hr, some models have 24-hr GMT and so cannot hide the GMT hand behind the hour hand.

Well, the factories did it right the first time, so it's entirely possible to be done again. As for the correct dial, you have to look out for spare dials to come up on M2M. That's actually where I got my dial (it's en route as we speak). :D

I thought all the PAM models with GMT are 12Hr GMT? Or some are indeed 24Hr ones?
