What does one do if their clone movement fails?

You just service it mate. The problem you have it's easy to solve, you just have you oil the winding gears, there's a thread about it. This can happen with any clone movement.

No. Everyone, including Puretime have not included price as a factor when reviewing.
For example, a case shape does not improve because it is cheaper.
The only reason ZF has lowered the price is that they are not selling enough - there can be no other reason.
It's always good to have a watch smith you can send your rep to. Better than sending it back to China.

Not really they are both great watches and both have flaws. I must say my review was very critical 99% of the flaws nobody would notice but ZF and VSF are on a level where they both look very good. It's just a choice with which flaws you can life better. I don't think you will disappointed with any of this two.
Also about the fat DW it's a non issue. My 20s are a little fatter on the 22 and to be honest on picture it's like "ohhh that looks so fat" then when you have it in hands it's just look right lol I compared it to the arf v1 which has a slimmer DW and to be honest the difference is so small you can't see it maybe with 20x magnification but not in real life same with the printing mine looks a little bit shit on the 9th date was super critical with that now it's here and I look at the 9 and it's a 9 lol. Nothing from bad printing you can see in real life only if you zoom in like 20x times.
It's really a great watch also iam not really pissed at the SEL of course they could be better but you know what it's a 428 dollar watch the gen costs 8500 dollar. Of course there is a difference in quality it would be ridiculous if not so yeah I see it as it is a great replica! If they fix the rehaut and the SEL (or atleast machine them better) it would be look even greater but even now the rep is very good compare it to the old ones which some even costs more and looked way more shitty (6 and 9 markers) it's just awesome how far they come.
Also I freaking love the case shape it comes so close to the gen and you can really see it if you hold your arm in the mirror it has this fine case structure which looks so amazing on gen. Iam really happy with it

Mate there's enough information on this thread alone and in all the reviews for you to be constantly asking the same on all the vsf threads, also makes no sense to ask when youre straight contracting someone's opinion after you get an answer. No, the zf doesn't shine brighter than the vsf or any of that crap. Zf is also a great rep. All comes to what matters to you. Check puretime photos and make your own opinion about it.

I dont have the ZF bracelet but the VSF feels like my ARF V1, not cheap and solid, the clasp is good and looks like the rest of the bracelet.

Ok now tested the VSF under warmer electric light and the black hole effect looks a lot better but also the hands look flatter than ARF (very strange because in normal daylight the hands look more 3D like) very interesting i must say!
A comment from an amateur/Noob on the VSF (does anybody agree? Please go easy on me)...
There seems to be some really good submariners available from the various factories at at the moment. Having spent some time looking at many photos and videos of each, and having owned an old NOOB, something about the new VSF looks much more gen-like at a distance when compared to others. Sure, when you get them all close-up, they are hard to tell apart, and most are remarkably hen-like, but that glancing wrist-shot at a distance is surely what people are most likely to base their opinions on. I feel that something about the VSF stands apart from the rest. Is it the steel, the shine of the bezel, I don’t know... but it’s time to pull the trigger...!

lol after the first line I thought you were going to launch into a "which sub should I buy" thing and was already groaning but this is actually a fair and constructive point! I think it's a mix of the finishing, shape, insert, and crystal that really set it apart
I think it's really down to the case shape and bracelet fit that makes the big difference. It's the uniformity of all 4 lugs and end links with no SEL gaps that makes it look so clean and it just looks right and solid.
