I agree with you, If appropriately aligned ZF looks waaaay better. Such a shame the dial is misprinted as the alignment is very good

Except this has happened twice now, and the third time, although it was finally a ZF, had obvious flaws. As someone who is new to this, I think I have the right to raise the question. maybe I was expecting too much, but perhaps i thought a TD, as opposed to non-TD, would a.) quickly glance at the QC to make sure it came from the requested factory and b.) make sure there is no obvious flaws that they know will surely be rejected by the customer before sending them the QC pics. Yes, i am new at this, but even I (as pretty much everyone) would be able to see the obvious printing issues. You think that he has been a TD in this site for many years by doing that ?
So I still have not gotten a response yet from Hont after rejecting the last watch yesterday. Maybe he will find one today, or maybe he is just waiting to see if I change my mind. Who knows? I’m not in a hurry to get this watch, so I’ll be patient and see if he finds an acceptable watch.Except this has happened twice now, and the third time, although it was finally a ZF, had obvious flaws. Now it has gotten to the point where the customer is feeling guilty about the rejections. That shouldn't be the case for such obvious issues.
Still waiting. I asked him again 2 or 3 days ago if he found one yet. His response; “still wait”.@Bpyfu are you still waiting or did you receive another QC?
Looking at the QC pics you have every right to R/L. Obvious Printing defects are not acceptable. It seems like there may be delays on the white dial version as the blue and black are readily available from ZF. To be honest, it looks like you’ve been offered previous Rejected watches in an attempt to move the stock… this may have come direct from ZF or Honts stash. Either way, be persistent and have patience and make sure you don’t change your mind and end up with a VSF. Not only are the CG wrong but they pretty a much all end up with stripped crowns and crown tubes. ORF and ZF seem to have overcome this issue, but VSF continue to make their crown and crown tube assemblies out of butter.Actually I just looked at my chats with Hont and it will be a week tomorrow since the last time I asked for an update.
I wonder if it’s that hard to get a decent watch from the factory, or if he just put me as a low priority customer because I’ve RL four watches.
Thanks for the pep talk! I have firsthand knowledge of vsf crown stripping. I’ve owned the vsf NTTD seamaster for a couple years. And while I love the watch and still wear it often, there’s only about a quarter to a half a turn of thread left on the crown. I fear every time I unscrew it will be the last time it holds.Looking at the QC pics you have every right to R/L. Obvious Printing defects are not acceptable. Good Luck sir

The good news is I’ve been keeping it on a winder to minimize using the crown, and it’s only about 10-15 seconds off, and it’s been a few weeks. So the movement is pretty darn accurate.
Unfortunately not! I’m still waiting. I don’t think I’m the only one though. I think I’ve heard others stating long wait times for ZF seamaster.@Bpyfu Any update. Did you finally get QC pics?
That looks more like a vsf to me. Crown guards looks small, and it looks like no screw on balance wheel.@Bpyfu Something seems fishy about this ZF Seamaster today: https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTimeQC/comments/11k181w
