I bought a Noob 41 from Trustytime, a new gen DW, crown, and blue dial. All but the crown has come yet, however the damn crown stem release doesn't work... There is also a little screw in the bracelet that won't screw all the way in. Small thing, but sometimes hangs on fabric. I could fix that, however I can't get the crown out. I decided instead of just purchasing a new SH3235 I would try out this VSF. Just ordered one now, excited to get it and check it out! Does anyone know if it's really work getting the watch serviced by the TD? I never seen any before/after pics of the service, but the Noob I did pay for it and it winds quite smooth and holds 7-14 seconds a day. I worry maybe the service accidently broke the crown release and wonder if maybe I can just run the movement in solution when I change out the DW and dial. What's everyone's opinion on that?

Not worth t it, you don't know how skillful those warchsmith. The chances of them fucking up something are there, i would rather wait for the watch to arrive to you and service it. There are enough reputable warchsmith in this forum.

I ordered and paid for a rhodium DJ from Hont on December 30th, got a message today saying they’re out of stock with no ETA on when he can get more.
Has anybody heard anything related to this?

Ordered a Rhodium as well, but no QC yet. Seems like VSF is a little overwhelmed with the demand at the moment after releasing the Subs.

What type of jubilee bracelet is the best? Im asking my TD for when I get the blue face datejust, i just need to know what type of jubilee band I should get :) thanks
How many types of Jubilee bracelets are there? Asking for a friend.

Thanks for the prompt reply! I will do this instead! Maybe they can fix this Noob and switch the VSF dial/DW and I'll have 2 decent reps. :) Thanks again!

I would go with type C ... some people will now say type a is the best but in my eyes the best is type f , but unfortunately sold out everywhere . So go with type d !!

Watch arrived today, lugs are maybe not perfect but much slimmer and refined then with ARF, needless to say which one is ARF ;) ARF V2 to be complete

Maybe your arf example but newer v3 and latest batch arf have better lugs, genlike
also this picture showing again that bezel color on vsf is not good and too white compared to arf rhodium color

Have you actually tried plating yourself? Do they last? I'm worried that the already plated sides would get damaged during the process!
and also, wouldn't it be impossible to plate only certain sides of the SEL as the parts are not 3 piece like gen on most bracelets?

and YES! VSF indeed put a lot of effort into making the seconds hand. I personally wouldn't care much for lugs. Doubt anyone can really tell the difference in real life!
Someone has and they started a thread and posted vids on the whole process. It was actually pretty cool. You should find that thread and ask that user how it worked out.

Ira about a year old by now. It came out looking goood at least out of the treatment he did.

Wow look at the difference in those lugs from watch to watch. Looking at the vsf alone, you know they're different than arf but when you sit them side by side you can really see the difference.

You should take images of both watches at the same angle, can't tell anything from this image.

First of all, its nice that op took the time to share a picture. hopefully he can share more but at least from this picture alone you can tell how crap is arf xtal and dw are compared to vsf, also at first glance vsf lugs looks better than arf.

At first glance, there's nothing to see. Due to the angle the lugs obviously look completely different. Same goes for the bezel, the ARF one has a different colour due to the light reflections. That's exactly how forum folklore is created and that stuff gets repeated for another two years based on a single smartphone shot from the hip. If people are interested to really compare the small details we're talking about, there needs to be more methodology applied.

You're right. Completely agree with you on most of what you said, the thing is a lot of people don't have the knowledge to do a proper pictorial review and smartphones are always the most easy tool to photograph something. My datejust got ship today so hopefully i get it fast, will make sure to do some nice pictures. Good thing at least is that people starting to get them. Happy i order mine cuz vs is on small vacation and thats why most things are out of stock atm.

Another small comment, the clasp of the VSF has to much play. I closes fine but there is a lot of movement from side to side. This causes the bracelet is not feeling sturdy and the closing mechanism shows from under the bracelet.
I changed the clasp with the old clasp from my ARF and all play is gone!

There is no doupt that vsf have better crystal and DW but you must accept that “LATEST” arf v3 batch (and not this example on this comparison picture) have much better and sharper lugs almost like gen without light disortion, also bezel is obviously better on arf and thats obvious again... i see that you are fan of vsf and thats yours but we must agree that vsf needs to change color of the bezel or rhodium plate it and must sharpen lugs more... i will also be happy to see that bro

I agree with the bezel concerns, VSF can have great lugs and markers and an amazing crystal and whatever else, but that stark white bezel I've seen in all the pictures really is a dealbreaker
