How hard is it to install a new eta 2824 or sw200? Is this something most Watchsmith is willing to do? Is it simple enough that it can be done as a DIY project?
Piece of cake for anyone with the knowledge !

250? It was 298....
Every TD has its own prices

At Andiot Watches 280$ + 40$ shipping also for multiple watches
Mine from Andiot was already in my hands in Germany after 10 days after my order

I don't think it always depends on the cheapest price
Some are a bit more expensive but can get and ship the watches faster than others
I think everyone should order from the TD where they have a good feeling and not just look only at the price

Just received my black version from Hont $298 with free shipping.

I'm blown away by the quality. The finishing is superb.

It feels like the gen I'm sure.

What other reps Rolex or other brands have this level of quality?

VSF is fantastic. I have the one with the VS3235 and even winding is almost as good as my gen DJs. I'm sure the A2824 version is the same appearance-wise and the only tell would be the winding action of the A2824.

Yes exactly that. The a2824 is good movement and if it did die a gen sellita or ETA could be installed cheaply. I'm happy.

Agreed isn’t it identical except for the internal movement to the 3135 clone model on the exterior?

Qc accepted, these are for your viewing pleasure only. Old noob subs now irrelevant? I imagine vsf 116610LN and Hulk may someday see a youth edition. Why not? There's obviously plenty of folks who prefer 28xx, me especially. I also think the VS clone movement factory will be raided or disrupted before we ever see prices come down or parts become widely available. This, imo, as a capable hobby watchmaker makes a cheap 28xx model way more of a nobrainer. I can get a nice A2824 for $70 on the bay from a US seller in less than 5 days and have my watch back up and running in 30 mins or less. But A2824 lasts forevs in most cases anyway.

I am curious how VSF applies the numerals on their inserts, do they ever fade like the noobs did? I haven't seen anything on that front. DWO are a pain to glue up sometimes, but a small price to pay for a $250 watch that is so close to the real deal, that the biggest "tell" is the anti-clockwise crown movement to advance the hands, who cares...

Now...what can I sell to get the blue one?

I need to come up with a non fussy way to remove and adhere inserts....then I could have the blue and black insert whenever I want. @KJ2020 , and ideas?

Obviously don't want to have remove the bezel and compromise hyrtel ring every time.

Might be limited to just use a few pieces of double sided dial dots. But of course increases potential for the insert to fall out, ceramic can shatter from a fall. Then to remove the insert for a swap, 3M black double sided mounting tape, I use this often to stick and pull inserts out.

Anyone know if these inserts on VSF are pressure fit, glue, or adhesive rings?
