This is the best I can do lol.

Above watch is a CG from my 001B (not the Most accurate CG but this illustrates my point)

Below is my H Fac 005M

Newer/modern brushed CG is domed vs older shiny CG is flat. Also the size of the CG is bigger on the modern models vs older.

Yes, that's right, you're talking about the profile shape. It is titanium and satin-finished, but the essence of the difference that you are talking about is visualized correctly.

But there is a problem that the full face of the CG 088 and 111 is also different. The latter is fatter. Right now I don't have a watch with one at hand, but I'll try to find a suitable comparison.

By analogy with the old pams from 6497, you know perfectly well how the CG for example "G" series differs from, say "H".

The bottom line is that you can't just mix "similar details" for models with different cases.

Just in case, I will make a reservation that it may be different for the R series, but I have never seen the gen of this series, and I sincerely doubt that there were changes after the change of engravings and the departure from screw rods by 2016, when the 1088 was released.

Hey so I found pics of the R-Series. Some interesting observations here.

It looks like the CG is polished and shiny like the old pre H series Pams. However, the shape is like the modern (domed). Also the CG lever looks to have the roller pin.

Please see pics:

This is a deal breaker for me, as this is a major error on the replica. Should be an easy fix for VSF though and hope they address this ASAP.

Thank you, Hazing !
Here the CG is clearly wide, thick, but polished.
Same as on my 299, only with a different finish.

Noob already nailed this in the past! Thanks for the photos. VSF just needs to polish their CG!

I will for sure. The CG may need an aftermarket replacement to a mirror polished one yes.

Here is another gen pic for reference.

You know of any seller that sells after market CGs that are accurate? mrsullivan

The reason I ask is I used to look for those a while back without much success. I would love to get some CGs for my older Pams (that came with God awful CGs and pins). Please let me know!

I think I'll ask Trusty if they can supply a correct mirror polished CG first, if not then it's the search for an aftermarket alternative. I'll let you guys know.

For comparison, here is my franken 088 (genuine dial, hands and crown guard) and my gen 237. Issues I've noticed on the VSF release so far are the crown guard as mentioned, and the cap of the running seconds hand is pretty bad. Also of note, the subdial at 9 looks to be the wrong shade of silver like the previous H factory reps. Any other questions or angles needed please let me know and I'll post them to help compare.

From my dealer, there is no quick date setting as gen ( it is like new Pam, 2× 12 hours change a new date)

Once again: Can't you quickly set the date using the crown? Is the date set like a clone?
Did I understand correctly?
