The dial looks dark on the rep. On the gen it is a crisp, bright blue, Although it might be the lighting. We’ll see.

I agree, the dial is slightly darker. Not a deal breaker tho. My problem is more the BMG-tech font being longer than the Panerai inscription which when you know it can’t be unseen (and is really bothering me especially because it is a bloody silly flaw)

You are absolute right. I was doing some research and it seems there are two dials out there... small and large.

Nowadays, the watch doesn’t have it anymore, replaced by 300m/1000ft

The text on the VSF watch is correct for when the watch was released at BaselWorld 2017 . The BMG TECH decal was changed to the 'other' text shown on this thread in 2018. So the VSF watch dial text is correct to the early release genuine watches .

I know this probably won't carry much weight because I have nothing to show but I was just talking to a Panerai e-concierge on my phone. I was talking to her about a different model but asked about the lume on thw 692.

She said that they will change many small details from year to year and series to series and most years have all green lume but they are transitioning as of 2019 to the new style lume with the blue Minunte hand and pearl.

The original 2017 Baselworld watch had all green lume . I think there is a picture of the lume on the review link on this thread 'ablogtowatch '.






edit : Just looked his review was done in Oct 2017 the example he uses has green lume and VSF dial text.

Altough I do not like all the Panerai, I am amazed how often they just find the right combination of "beauty" and "beast".

Yes there are changes between years. Look at the PAM1305 old and new.

There are some models, I thought it was the 1305 that even went to elongated hour makers all the way around on year.
