aceblue74 im assuming you mean the 683. If so... I just got the 960, which has the same movement as the 683 and yes, it does indeed have the hour hand date set function just like gen.

Not sure if the OP XXXIV movement has an independent hand function.

When viewed at extreme angles, the crystal will show a fisheye type of distortion, apparently this does not exist on the crystal on the gen especially on the Submersible releases this year.

The 683 from Vsf is thinner than 682 because the closed caseback.

Got contact with my Td he told me : hour hand works like gen ...set date turn back an forward separately

but he does not answer my question how to order , cause normally you pay with credit card but on his page at home, 683 not listed ...

guys the function on the 683 and 960 reps don't work like gen, they have used the p9000 clone so that the hour hand advances the date separately. on the gen the date is changed on its own setting. The movement used in these two models by panerai, isn't made by panerai.

Must say it’s my first 42mm Panerai but it wears very nice and the stainless steel makes a world of difference imo
