guys the function on the 683 and 960 reps don't work like gen, they have used the p9000 clone so that the hour hand advances the date separately. on the gen the date is changed on its own setting. The movement used in these two models by panerai, isn't made by panerai.

Well said. Panerai actually increased the price of the models because of the movement and one of the improvements is the quick date set. VSF put a P9010 clone, decorated to [FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]OP XXXIV Calibre which was made by Richemont group. So if someone really wants a super accurate rep they should go with 47mm PAM1616 or Ti PAM799.[/FONT]

The fish eye effect is seen at near extreme angles, meaning the dial is almost perpendicular to your line of sight. That's nowhere near that point.

Just went through this whole thread. Am a bit confused about the thickness vs gen. It looks like the gen is listed at 14.5mm (what I’ve seen is the 959 is listed at 13.8mm). Doesn’t that mean the rep has the correct thickness at 14.5mm? Thanks

its the movement and thickness (possibly thickness, we don't know yet) plus the CP is slightly too large but not as noticeable on the SS hands.
