While Panerai has been advertising it the way you asked, no one has seen gen models yet.

Well none of us. Although someone did come in saying he (or a friend) saw a 1117 in an AD and it supposedly didn't have any lime on the case, crown, and crown guard.

Read the last few pages of this thread. You'll see. But right now, VSF might know something we don't know. Or it might be wrong. I think it's a coin flip at this point.


Edit: now that I think about it, that night be the wrong thread but it's around here somewhere.

Hmm... maybe swap the crown guard from the 1119. What do you think?

I know this has mixed reviews... gotta say the sunburst blue is really stunning in daylight. Thought you might appreciate a wrist shot. Put on a blue rubber strap...wasn’t a fan of the Tron canvas.

Has anyone seen a gen by any chance? I bought a 1117 VSF from a member and got it yesterday. I love the watch and it feels and looks great, but wondering about the strip after reading this thread.
