I don't know. We still haven't seen a gen model with lume like this and it may very well be thag they're just guessing. The crown guard and especially the lume on it looks different than the... What? 1118 and different from the pics.

again they have based their release on press release pics 
(but yes, the lume on the CG seems fixed !)
but no real pic of the gen has come out yet , or some bad quality one :
im' not event sure it's the gen (it's on some asian website, nothing yet on the intagram) we will wait & see for the surprise (but seems this time the cg pin is "darker" (don't know if it's reflection or not) on the gen and grey on the VSF haha ...)
and i wait for a better pics of the dial , because again the vsf blue tone seems more "darker"

Don't know how accurate it is - you will never see this in person most likely anyway - but it looks like a very nice watch.

Perhaps this is the point, to give the opportunity to buy something that there is little chance to buy as gen, due to the limited series.

Yes, apparently, everything is confused. Perhaps, I will keep quiet about this, apparently, it is not clear how de gen looks like, but now, it turns out, and how rep looks is also not cleardifferent photos say different things ... :whew:

Yes, pam1117 is made of sandblasted titanium. This is the way it should be.
Comparing 1117 and 111 is probably very difficult, these watches have more differences than in common, as much as 2 44 mm luminors can...
The VSF consensus is extremely simple: if you want NOT 111, then you buy VSF and are happy that they would not do, otherwise, you go m2m or choose another brand, for the reason that there are no other manufacturers (Except for the now appearing and disappearing noob 111 and XF 111, which appears to be a VSF) .
They do their job well, many watches are very good, but there is no way to compare them with anything other than gen.

we talk about the lume on the LUMINOR / PANERAI logo on the dial ? or on the CG ?
because, about the lume on the text, is still a garbage vs GEN ... BUT , the lume on the CG seems now on pair with GEN (no "cut" aroung the cg pin , wich is on the press pics) and different that the 1118 release

Yes, I only discussed CG. In most of the actual photos, everything seems to be in order. Perhaps VSF and it did not rule immediately, so there are different options for images.
Without the OTT lume, I think I could like this piece, but as is, I don't think I'd ever be tempted to buy the Rep.. shame, I do love a sunburst blue dial!
