I just took delivery of mine from Sead and love it! Does anyone know how to safely adjust the date on it? I looked at the video of the VSF on Trusty's website and when he puts the crown to the #1 position only the date moves, making it quick. On my version it moved only the date as well, although today for some reason it was only moving the hour hand ahead by an hour at a time which can take a while to switch the date! Any ideas?

Hello! The PAM1662 VSF uses a P.9000 clone and is configured as GEN. Does not have a quick date setting crown. You use the position for the jumping hour hand and spin as many 12-hour days as there are days on the date to shift. The good news is that it works both forward and backward. Not the most convenient for many, but that's how GEN PANERAI works.

Apologies to revive an old thread. There was discussion, but nothing definitive in reference to the lume matching of this piece. Is the lume not matching between the dial and hands on rep as in gen? To my eye looks well within reason and similar. @KOT1917 Thank you kindly.

I think the one who has them in their hands will share their opinion, but for my part I want to say that in general, the PAM1662 VSF color scheme is not very similar to GEN. There is always a difference in the hands and the sandwich in the photo, if only because the lume on the hands is thinner, closer to the camera, and less light enters the sandwich recess. But I can’t completely rule out that this difference is more pronounced in VSF than in GEN.
