VSF - PAM 1662 appears to be out!

rejected this pam 1162 as the date from 11 to 19 not centre. Will update again. From my dealer this always happened.

(i'm not 100% it's the gen but ... i think so) and on this video the case appear much lighter than the panerai pics , so i think it's depend on the lighting ??

very difficult to have a real vision of this case tone


and a part from the case tone, the dial tone seems a lighter more "greenish" on the VSF than the gen , or it's me ?

I hope vsf have gen , I will buy it with close eyes .

The case does appear to have very minor pitting of case but not like the Gen..
This and the rest of the flaws I have no problems with..

I think they did not want shiny and light elements to maintain the overall hidden look, and the hands in the color of the dial might not provide enough readability and contrast. Moreover, they seem to have something in common with black carbon elements.

They have been doing that with these new models and I think they make use the black to almost make it blend more. Like on the 1118 it is all black and you completely lose the black hands against the black dial. However, when you look at the dial it is not hard to see. In fact it is incredibly easy and they stand out tremendously. That is just a guess though and I know I have looked at many of the 2020 models and thought "The hands should be rose gold" or stainless or whatever.

Sadly, seems rep is bead blasted & even slightly polished. Notice in videos light reflects & case is very smooth.

DMLS is much rougher! (Envision a 3D printed part at high res.) This will reduce reflection. They should have tried sand blast or even coarser medium.

Coarser Ti case: yes and ...no

There is very coarse TI case on the prototype watch which got first into hands of reviewers, photographers. It is indeed very coarse but I found there is even back side photo of this watch - and it doesn't even have quick release buttons! Take a look:

Other photos of this watch, like from April 2020 etc. shows the watch with quick release pins and with less coarse case. Of course rep bead blasted surface is too fine when comparing to gen but the difference is not so glaring.
