Hi guys, really love this watch, just wondering how will the repair for this 8900 super clone be like in future? are parts hard to source?

Is the grey one really that bad? I've seen the gen and it looks amazing but I don't want any nasty purple hue.

Just further to my previous question about post-sale rubber straps - JTime couldn’t provide the Aqua Terra model I wanted with rubber, so I’ve gone with bracelet (lovely, great engagement, fast shipping - 2 weeks from qc to in hand), but now I want the matching rubber strap.

Has anyone had success buying vsf-standard strips from eBay/DH/Etsy, or is it best to chase TDs to see if any can obtain directly? Or are they all pretty much of the same quality? Thanks

Yes I have it and it is a fantastic watch. Very gen feeling. Even an omega dealer said what a fantastic watch it is when I went inside his shop to buy a jewel for my wife(had not seen he is also an omega dealer). ????

This may have convinced me. Waiting on the TD to respond if they can source or have it in stock.

How long have you owned it? Any issues with it so far? Have you compared it with a gen? Anything stand out?

I have it 1,5 year. Perfect in every aspect.Works great. +2 secs every day
The dealer (which is the shop I usually buy jewels was annoyed that I did not buy it from him.He was concinced it was gen.
So yes it looks a lot like gen. He had it in a display(the original) and I could not find a tell.

Thank you for the responses. The TDs that I’m looking at show 41mm. The gen is 43mm. Where did you get yours and is it 41 or 43

Just got the luck to get a VSF AT in olive green dial, and I must point VSF did a great assembly work here.
It feels solid and crisp all around, dial has gorgeous green shades, markers are nicely faceted and even the DW has that silver raised numbers close to the gen. Stunning rep indeed !

I am also curious about this. We are 4 years into this thread. How is everyone finding the "Asian 8900" movement? Is the movement still functioning OK? Has anyone tried to have the movement serviced or replaced?

This Reddit thread mentions that although the VSF Asian 8900 is a high quality movement, it includes several custom parts, so it will be very difficult to fix going forward. Thus the 8900 reps may have an expiration date.
