Got mine... overall, I must say this thing is a work of art. I’m pissed about the date being off but I’m hoping I can adjust it if I really get annoyed with it... I’m going to keep the TD out of it while I discuss resolution.

So, I readjusted the date and now it’s more aligned. There is some play in the DW adjust. I’m going to leave the date topic alone for now and see how it wears. I’m betting a service could address it.

My VSF seamaster aqua terra 8900 date is a bit sticky sometimes, its like whatever is engaging the date doesn't go all the way (looks exactly like your photo). A light tap on the side and it clicks right into center. Not a huge deal but seems similar to yours which i would assume a service would fix.

The rotated dial problem is blown way out of proportion.... I’m pretty sure this in an illusion created by the angle of bezel and depth of dial from bezel...


Everything lines up pretty nicely...

Notice how on picture 1, the 12 & 6 line up very nicely while the 3, 9 appear to be off?

Now, look at picture 2... same bezel rotation... the opposite happens.

I think the point he's making is that now he has the watch in his hand, it's easy to see that a slight difference in the camera angle can make the dial look out of line.

On my QC pics, the date looked high in the window but once I received the watch and looked at it straight on, the date alignment is perfect. I almost rejected it.

The question is still remained.

It is not about the slight mis-alignment between the dial marker and the bezel that is may caused by the some camera angles which is understandable.

it looks like the whole watch face (the bezel including the well-aligned dial marker with the bezel) is rotated clock-wise very slightly (even when you align the bezel and dial perfectly). Could you please do double check after looking at the area of 6o’clock side bracelet and the area of 30 on the bezel please?

also, the other question is about how the dealer sent the watch without your approval while you are asking another watch. If you cannot reveal the name of the dealer at this point, then can you please share what the dealer says about it?

if you draw a line from the 12 to 6 hour markers you'll notice that the bezel is rotated clockwise compared to the bracelet.
This is still a really stunning watch and it's a minor defect nobody is gonna ever notice, but still there is.

Yeah, but in V1 (which I have one of) this was not an issue. It`s really a shame in V2.

Ok. I see it now... can’t unsee it either. I was focused on bezel vs dial alignment. It’s now obvious that the insert and dial/movement are off by a smidge.

There should be room to rotate the movement to center without a big to do. (I’ve done this on subs to align rehaut)... the insert will be annoying/risky to change but I’m going to give it a shot.

How does the size feel on the wrist? have a 43mm breitling and it feels just a hair too big but my 41mm's feel perfect.
