I know I'm some weird supervillain in this circle jerk of a topic but the dial is .3mm bigger. If you think .3mm is somehow not perceptible to the human eye then you really need to get some prescription glasses.

Your ignorant beyond belief and don't even bother trying to understand what I wrote. Your eyes do not measure reality, it's all a matter of perception. Different cases, bezels, bracelets, even colours can make the exact same dial appear bigger or smaller. Take the time to compare a Nomos Tangente to a Superocean 44mm and you'll see.
Jesus Christ what is this mumbo jumbo you're spewing? Yadda yadda blah blah blah, at the end of the day I compared both generations hand in hand and the bigger dial is definitively apparent. All this extra talk about Nomos and Superoceans is irrelevant.

size difference is not as much obvious in naked eyes even when they're next to each other imo.
It's not some crazy obvious tell where someone from across the room will say "hey the dial is .3mm off it's fake!" or anything. But once you see it you can't unsee it in person. In that pic for example I can't see the difference at all.
There was this super Indepth submariner comparison on YouTube and funnily enough, one of the things he mentioned was that the new submariner bezel has the same width as the previous generation. Combining this, with the larger dial/case, one can easily differentiate both of them. Now whether this is something that rep makers account for... No idea.. Probably not. But I wouldn't throw this guy under the bus for stating that he in person could easily tell which is which not based on the lugs but the dial/bezel.

This is not even a slight against them, business is business and it paid off for them. They knew people would eat out of their hands regardless of .3mm incongruities. But with reusing 116610 parts not equal to the gen 126610 parts, instead of waiting and producing the right proportions, what other reason is there?

vsf is not noob. At the moment they are the biggest rep factory. They can come up with new parts in a split second. No need to use parts from 116610. There is entire thread about this on Chinese forums. They made specific parts for this 126610... including new movement.
I'm not particularly sure why we're cheering for factories like sports teams.
They did not come up with new parts for the dial; the dial size is equal to the 116610. It is not the same size as the 126610 dial. This is blatantly false.

That’s all well and good but as far as I can tell, nobody has actually posted measurements and until they do, there is no mathematics.
The uncalibrated eye is easily tricked, especially at a few tenths of a millimetre.

Duckber, just buy the VSF and see for yourself, all of your comments are unqualified to the core unless you have it in hand and compared it. Well, you claim you seen and compared the gen, so did I but why couldn't I come the conclusions the same as yours? You don't have the watch and yet you know the ins and outs of the watch, that is pretty ironic, right? You know what my AD said, he said Rolex is damn smart, used the hulk insert on the 126610lv- so 0.3 or 0.1mm, man, you really have some super cool binocular super vision..
