Vs3235 and how is it holding up
If you look at the prices of those restocking of VSF's at JTime, it is no longer a readily affordable hobby anymore
Part of me wonders if this is an elaborate scheme anyway... to determine are enough Westerners willing to buy reps for $588... when previously they were $488. My hope is... we're not that foolish, otherwise we're just gonna add on $100 to everything. Daytonas etc will be $1k.
Although I don't have a 12661x Sub I have a serviced VS 3225 working in my 126300 Datejust.
My serviced movement with the Asian Main Spring has a power reserve of almost 70 hours (guess it stopped running after 68 hrs.) and it keeps its time at ~ +/- 3 sec./day.
Should be similar to a correctly serviced and regulated VS 3235 in a Sub.
Great its working well
Thank you. Yes, mine is working well. Unfortunately it arrived in a so-so condition. My watchmaker told me that some wheels were really bad lubricated and would possibly get broke soon if not serviced soon.
And what I got from Ben Welte (watchmaker who also does Clone movements) is that the VS 3235 has it's weak points and is not as reliable compared to the VS 3135. He reported also broken reversing wheels as he reported bad bearing jewels for the balance wheel.
Nothing that is not fixable but is annoying at the beginning.
I'm sad today, because both my 126610s are dead, and it's my favourite watch by a mile. Have to live vicariously through the pics of others'.

How long have you owned them?
Did they just drop dead out of nothing? Have the movements been serviced before?
This is bad news indicating the VS3235 can't stand the test of time?
There is a rumor that Rolex have a problem with those 3235 movements as well.
I personally would stick to 3135. Parts gen and rep are easily available and cheap.
