My whistle/flute/fife ignorance is showing. During the time of Baselworld there was a celebration and many people walked around in pairs or groups tooting these instruments. I think it was a patriotic celebration?

Was football time at thls time? Aaaah, maybe you mean carneval? Basel is known for intense carneval tradition.
Basicly no patriotic event.
On August first we have our "4. july" where we burn explosives and rockets traditionally cause we where independent country and founded in year 1291 thats our celebration day.

I know very little about this whole rep watch subject, I did a bit of research and bought a VSF 126610, and by golly I am very happy with it, its within cosc specification. Non of my other reps are even close (disappointed) so no idea if I got really lucky or thats normal for this movement.

Hi, Did anyone check VSF latest production Submariners for Steel specifications? Unfortunately my 124060 latest one with VS3230 have bit greenish lume pip, and steel on bracelet is 316SS, case 316SS and Glidelock 316L. No tested part came out to be 904L with 23% Ni.

Hi, it's not a screenshot. It's a photo of screen of Bruker Titan S1 machine after checking case of VSF 124060 with VS3230.

Semantics, what I mean is where is proof of the item tested? Earlier watches were 316 from what I read on here.

I am not accusing anyone or anything so don't need proof. It's just my findings.
And asking questions if anyone did similar tests and what they found out.

Why don't you ask the person who is offering you the Sub how old the watch is.

The 2R2 serial was out in 2021 but not sure when it was first introduced or how long VSF used it for..

Can be JVSF v2 or preraid (pre 2021 may) VSF or postraid VSF.

So, having this information and the watch offered (from, as you say, 2021) the common thought is whether I should get this "magical 2R" rep, or buy a most recent VS re with Q66 or whatever code is the most actual. Because, probably, during those three years (from 2021 on) VS made some improvements. I hope. So, now standing at the crossroads.

Yes, I certainly remember your answer and the following exchange of messages with Zeta7.

The price is the same as the 2024 model. And 2R Sub is new, in plastic, etc.

If you trust the seller and he is going to sell it for less or the same as Andiot is offering then go for it. The VSF 126XXX Subs are a great watch with the best 3235 movement available.

It's your money, you have to wear the watch and in the end it's you that has to make the final decision. Good luck and enjoy the watch if you get it..

What’s so special with 2R starting serial numbers
Mine have it.
But I don’t believe they have used higher materials and lose money on these watches
Anyhow these reps are amazing.
But what @HellRot said means that if I will order a LV version now it will be lesser quality watch?
