You realize your excellent photo shoot and explanation caused dozens of Franken and other factory submariner sell-offs as well as me, who's never baught a Rolex rep, much less a 40mm rep, to order one, my first Rolex rep.... Yay. :megalol:

Lol.. did I? Nice, amazing in fact! I just present how it is, or at least, how I see it. It is great to see that everyone that also bought a VSF Submariner unanimously agrees that it is the best ootb the box rep they have ever had.

If anyone needs any more convincing, have a look at this! I swear if it wasn't for the balance bridge, this just looks genuine. It is so well finished, it looks perfect. This is night and day compared to any other clone 3135 I have seen, this looks genuine, no joke..

Thanks for the review and detailed comparison, it’s much appreciated. I’m mainly a patek guy but after reading 19 pages of this thread and 38 pages on the Hulk thread, I’ll be pulling the trigger on my first VSF 116610.

Really hope they make a clone 4130 and get into Daytona’s next after they release their DJs

Nice! So the “R”issue is indeed fixed on the vsf LN now ?

I'm not sure. I put more pics. Honestly on the wrist you wouldn't see it anything.

modernclassic how do you deal with the sharp corner edges of the case and the sharp crown? Is it the same on the Gen? I have the LV version of this watch and it seems to be little sharp. Never had the chance to hold a gen Sub.

Thanks for the extra pics bud, definitely look better than the pic I posted up there. Agree that is is not really visible once on wrist, but the thought of it still lingers and definitely prefer the corrected version if one is available, afterall not a cheap watch!
Cheers

How about the last R O LEX beside S19 serial code? Is the LEX sticking close to one another?

Appreciate the close up pictures. Nice to see they fixed the issue even though it’s not terribly noticeable. Just ordered a 116610 a few days ago and asked to see some closer pics of the rehaut to see if it’s fixed on my batch too

Funny you ask.. I have both LN and LV from VSF. The LV has a wonderful crown, no sharp edges and is like butter to unscrew back and forth. The LN crown feels sharp and is gritty when I unwind it. basically, my LV feels genuine, the LN feels like a common rep.

I added some silicone grease to the tubes of them both, that helps. With some use, over time the LN will improve.

Sounds like they must be using different factories to build their movements?

It's the cut of the thread on the outer of the tube and inner of the crown don't marry up perfectly like they do in my VSF LV (and genuine). Winding the movement is silken smooth like genuine. It's when the crown and tube meet and screw together it's gritty (or it was, it's better now after I fiddled with it). My guess is the factory cutting tools get worn, so the first ones cut (or threaded) are great but a few weeks into production they get sloppy unless the tools are maintained? Either that or it's just poor QC..
