I know this is not the thread for the PAM 1507, but I think a short review here suits perfectly.
Case & dial:
We also see here the standard VSF 42mm Submersible case, with one difference: this is a titanium case. I didn't weighed the watch, but it's definitely lighter than the 1579! But still the case is 1.5mm too thick compared to the gen.
We have one big surprise on the xtal here! There is no fish eye effect on the 1507 xtal! I think you can see it on the pictures below. I just wonder why this can't be accomplished with all the other 42mm Subs from VSF!
This blue sunburst dial is just amazing. The pictures can't catch the full sunburst effect. I think we know this dial already from a 44mm PAM, but it just looks great in real life. That's an absolute highlight.
On the other hand let's talk about the biggest flaw of this watch: the GMT function of the hand is only working by 12 hours, but the dial has a 24 GMT design. In my opinion that's really hard to swallow. The easiest solution would be, that you set the GMT hand 1:1 with your regular hour hand, so that both are running simultaneously.
We have also here a slight rotor noise which I also would rate with a "2". (1 = no rotor noise, 2 = slight rotor noise,... 5 = heavy rotor noise). And the rest is the same like the 1579 above: great Luna Rossa strap, which feels very comfy on the wrist and no instant date flip at midnight.
Summary:
Overall it's also a very nice VSF PAM 42mm Submersible, but if you can't life with the GMT flaw I would suggest to go for the PAM 1565 (at least it has the same dial).
Positive aspects:
- great sunburst dial
- no fish eye effect
- light weighted titan case
- great Luna Rossa strap
Negative aspects:
- GMT flaw (12 hours vs 24 hours)
- slight rotor noise
- case too thick (1.5mm)
- date flip not instantly
