It's strange that VSF still not fixed the number "30" on the bezel, it is a bit off for almost every - or even every 42mm SUB Model i see here (not only Luna Rossa Line) - was the same on my PAM683 (42mm) which i got around March this year.
My 1404 I just got has the same typo on the movement as before.

Bezel and dial are awesome..
Strap is well done and with good quality, except the red in the logo.
The case is a bit disappointing.. it's not well finished, in particular brushed parts. I can't live with the thickness..do you think is it possible to find a correct case and adjust the thickness of the movement removing the rotor?
Glass also is disappointing. Where can I buy the Prof. one? Thanks

@saimoni : why removing the rotor ?
You would have a manual movement then?

I see that the Rep has a 14.5 mm thickness

Maybe some modder can reshape and trim the case to reduce it 1mm / 1.5 mm?

Yes, my idea was to remove rotor to decrease movement thickness and fins a proper case.. manual winding is not a problem for me

I've just received my 1565. I'm happy to report that I'm a bit of a simpleton and I don't notice anything wrong with the crystal, I actually think it's nice. I don't have a problem with the wrong thickness either. Ignorance is bliss I guess :D

The sunburst effect looks very nice, the color of the dial is also lovely! The size feels perfect for my 18.5 cm/7.25" wrist.

It truly is a great watch. Most of the nit picks we have with the Panerai models stems from the fact that they haven't changed anything for years and years, they've made enough money to invest into both a new movement and to fix the issues, sigh.

Regarding the fish eye, look at the side at a very steep angle, you'll notice that the crystal becomes unreadable at a steep angle.

I understand, I was a PAM addict for years and used to nitpick at every single detail after reading ALE's reviews. It got in the way of my enjoying reps after a while, so I learned not to care too much and try to have some fun. I don't think I'll ever get in a situation when I won't have any other way of reading the time other than at a very steep angle :D Until then this one will be my Patriots games companion :)

But I don't think it will last long, I'm afraid that I've simply lost the Panerai passion somewhere along the way...

I understand. After owning 35+ replicas I've unironically become less picky. And I've returned to homages and gens. Funny but owning the replicas killed my want for 95% of the Rolex catalogue.

Same here, but I needed quite a bit more ( I think 200-ish... 🫣 ) to come to my senses :D I'm down to these 2 reps and I couldn't be happier:

I never thought it would come down to this, but I'm currently Rolexless ( if that's even a word :D ) and it feels amazing!

lol same. Outside of a couple more Daytonas of course…!!!

But after 90+ reps, I’ve gone back to hunting gens.

Custom strap for Luna Rossa arrived today.

Available at strap central (sold 1565 and 1579 before the strap arrived).

Now that people have had these PAM1381//27827 for a while how have they been? I don't mean how close to gen, just in general have they had any issues?

Gentleman, the postman just delivered my watch, which I had fitted with a Prof crystal. Comparison pics for your reference, I fitted an OEM rubber, as I preferred this to the supplied strap.

The cost of the new crystal plus fitting was around $250, so not cheap, but im happy with it.

As you can see the new crystal is less domed which mostly resolves the fish eye effect, but does sit slightly higher than the bezel. I will have to check the original watch next time I am in London to see whether the original crystal sits perfectly flush or not.

I would add the extra height of the crystal edge is obvious in the photo, but looking at the watch, Its not obvious.

Now, if only they can do a V2 dial with a little more sunburst, then I would be happy, but aside from that, this is a really nice piece.

Despite the fact that I never really appreciated the Luna Rossa color scheme, I really liked the PAM01507 - I find the idea of the internal bezel with a 24-hour scale very convenient and does not spoil the appearance. Moreover, it is 500m., (!!) titanium submersible in a 42mm case - this is something special, and I really appreciate VSF's attempt to do this, although not without obvious problems. Besides the thickness, of course, it's high time for a 7750 with a GMT function, which is understandably unrealistic, since even the latest PAM088 was made with a P.9001, but I would be glad at worst if they used something like a clone of the P.9003, which was used in their latest versions of the PAM531. Well, besides the thickness, there is no correct adjustment and the CP size is noticeably different.

Sunbrust blue dials have never been perfect, this can be accepted, although I have seen too few good photos of the gen to understand the difference in texture and color contrast with the second sub-dials. I do not like that they made a date window without a step, which is very similar to the truth. But I am very disappointed with the bezel markers. Not making them so thick is probably not easy, but drawing a long mark next to the pearl, it seems they have always been able to, but here, suddenly, they did not. It's a shame.
Further, perhaps, due to the fact that the inner ring is a new part, making the correct angle of inclination is not the easiest task, and it is not always obvious (Only that the tip of the minute hand seems to be longer, although, in fact, the angle of inclination of the ring on the bezel, in all likelihood, is steeper), but here the ring fonts were observed - there were chances, God bless her, with the thickness, but at least in size, so that the space occupied by the numbers was at least similar.
The engraving dimensions on the CG are also far from perfect.
Overall, this is a good approach to a complex model, but I expected a little more from VSF, even understanding the limitations on movement, thickness, colors, lume texture.
