I had "Prof" put a new crystal in Pam 1074 to get rid of fisheye it had.. I also have a 116506 with his crystal (installed myself). Improvement for the Daytona, I like it, not gen due to the heavy amount of Anti-Reflective coating looks like a camera lens. But, I like having almost no reflection even though gens have reflection off crystal....
The Pam 1074 (42mm Bronzo) = Totally different watch = Amazing to look at and even Prof (Stephen) complimented it. Wife was not too keen on that watch and then started choosing it as her fav on my wrist (when I ask which she likes better as my collection grows). She doesn't realize why she is choosing it, but I see why.
Looking to get a white dial Luna Ceramitech and add a Prof crystal. Just waiting to see if this is a coating that will scratch off or not. Might get an answer in this thread. White dial for me because I have a VSF Pam 1507 with almost same dial.

I’m going to guess the rep is a Ti case with a ceramic coating similar to Cerakote since they probably aren’t using Electrolytic Plasma Oxidation.

I am more upset that the case color does not match the strap color (as in the original). I think the gray color that they (VSF) made for other models would have been better here. I wonder if it is possible to combine this case with a leather strap?
The problem is not the fisheye effect. The problem is that gen is not fitted with this kind if crystal. Now it is much more accurated.
I bought this crystal.from my local dealer, it doesn't comes like this straight from the factory. And it isn't from Steve.

Then what is the fisheye effect?
I thought it was when the glass was distorted. For example, on my Speedy the tachometer needle seemed to be bent.
I have VSF PAM911. Do they have this fisheye effect?
