This is solid advice both, thank you. I will take the same approach and hybrid the VRF bracelet using ARF clasp as far superior IMO. And speak to Adrian regarding the bezel, assuming taking the insert from the gen bezel assembly I have on my noob now and transferring to VRF assembly will pose the least problems, and also give the desired outcome.

Thanks again! Pictures to follow

I used a gen insert for the bezel (new blistered) and a gen crystal (new blistered)

Looks very good, and will be what I will be doing! Bit pissed the ARF bracelet isn't a straight swap, but not the end of the world.

Was there any other modding/parts required to fit the gen insert/xtal? Just checking to see if I need any other parts before sending on to my watchsmith.

I sent to Johnny Depp what you see in the picture: watch, insert, crystal.. nothing else.. and he did a great job, as usual

It looks very close to gen, fantastic. Thank you for your insight. This helps me a lot. I will post pictures as soon as I have mine.

I love the result. Someone install also a gen datewheel but i found the stock datewheel very good. Vrf movement is the best. Gen insert and crystal make the watch

I contemplated a gen DW, but honestly, I feel the stock VRF is close enough. I cannot personally tell the difference, yours looks gen to me. (Others will disagree I am sure)

Also agree, I have deliberated lots of different ways and the VRF is the best option for a base I feel.

Will an ARF bracelet fit without any issues/mods?

The bracelet on my ARF Batman, which I received 4 weeks ago, is lausy. Poor quality. Sharp edges, the clasp is 17.5 mm instead of 18. I gave it
an oil treatment and it is still not as good as I expected.
The bracelet on my VRF V1 feels like gen, no sharp edges, very good feeling. No oil treatment.
I tried to change the bracelet and they do not fit.I mean they do fit but with a lot of gap.

I am used to much better quality from ARF. I believe the bracelet factory didn‘t change the cutting tools since a long time. Never had
so poor bracelets before.

Agree with ARF, the quality is unrivalled in the rep game. Pretty rubbish that you can't easily swap onto a vrf case.

You can. I have a vrf gmt and put an ARF bracelet on it and it fits perfectly.

It's a shitty Pic but you can see it fits. Also was able to get the Glide lock too which I like because I'm used to it and I always say, once you get used to the glidelock clasp, it's tough to go without it. But the arf bracelet does fit.

I've been away the rep scene for a year, but before I left I bought a VRF GMT and a gen insert.

When I tried putting the gen insert on the VRF assembly, it was too loose. Did you replace the assembly as well or did you just use some adhesive?
In the post above you. Can see my vrf pictured. I took out the vrf insert and put a gen insert.

At first, I had used some double sides tape and I used a thin tape but it still elevated the insert so you could see the edge just a tiny tiny bit peeking up along the bezel and it irritated me so I took the insert back out to remove and replace the tape - just put it on more carefully. But I placed the insert in the bezel just to see how it looked and it like slipped and locked into place perfectly.

So now it is sitting there just pressure fitted into the bezel and it fits perfectly. No adhesive at all.

I have a gen bezel that is like to put in and swap out along with a crystal. But other than that, I love this watch. It's accurate to like

I assumed this would work which is why I asked above previous, may be the stock VRF springbars don't like the ARF bracelet on the VRF case? Them sels look nice and tight also, which is encouraging. Thanks for the jnfo

I was always curious about this setup bro because neither ARF or VRF makes a PCL glidelock AFAIK. JF made one, for their Smurf. Looks great, and glidelock is an awesome touch.

I was surprised when I was found out it was available and I wonder if ARF makes this just to try to market to people with gen gmt's who want the glidelock. This is just a guess.

It is definitely an ARF. It also came with all the arf stickers on it (I know - not that the stickers mean much). I don't know the logic but they do make the bracelet (or they did), even if they don't make the a model that might otherwise use the bracelet.

I took really zoomed in pics to compare it to arf bracelets and they it seems consistent with all the details on other arf bracelets. Like the quality of finishing and how well it is made not to mention the clasp codes for the arfs are consistent. Also the finish of the end link engravings and finish.

Also Li was the TD who got it for me and I trust him. Not that I didn't have doubts because obviously I examined it super closely.

Edited to slip in a few pics comparing a the 2 arf Bracelets I have. One on my LV and one on my GMT. They're a little dirty so please don't mind the gunk.

It's worth it. As long as it's like the quality we've come to expect from arf. I love the glidelock on the GMT and in general because I'm so used to it.

I've been seeing some people say some negative things lately about. New arf bracelets. I certainly hope they're just being dramitic and a little too picky. It would suck if they started making bracelets that aren't up to the quality we expected.

As promised, just received mine back from Adrian, brand new VRF case (serviced 3186) gen xtal, gen bezel assembly/insert, ARF bracelet (polished up) swapped out from old noob which died.

Couldn't be happier with the outcome. Props to ado213 excellent service as always.

And one more with stickers off under nice better lighting, if your contemplating a mini franken, don't hesitate to go down this route. You won't go far wrong for not very big money.
