hopefully they turn out to be nicely done...
V7 makes some of the best IWC reps, they're well known for it unlike GH (which is very unknown) so my hopes are high.

Have anyone of you seen the IXDAO one before?

Do you think the quality of V7's rep would be similar to IXDAO's(case, bracelet, finishing)?
The reason I'm asking is that the IXDAO one uses a cheap to replace movement meaning less stuff to worry about. Also their logo dial looks neat.

Thanks!

So I did some looking up. The IXDAO uses the PT5000, SW200, or ETA 2824.

And the gen uses the IWC caliber 32111 which is based on IWC caliber 32110.
Now the 32111 is exactly the 32110 with a larger barrel, by this the 120 hours.

I've found that the caliber 32110 has the same dimension specs etc with the ETA 2892-A2.

Now all the ETA 28xx movements are similar, with mainly the only difference in thickness and quality. I belive the 2892 is just a bit thinner than 2824. And I've read that people had success replacing both movements.
So what this means is that the IXDAO has the potential to accept dial and hands from either the gen or the soon to be released v7 rep.

Yeah feedback and corrections would be very much appreciated for this :D I'm a newbie when it comes to movements and all that.

Is the PT5000 better / worse / same as usual run of the mill A2824?

I love my V7F Mark XX with the Seagull ST1812. The 2892 clone. They like sticking this in their IWC reps so hopefully they do that here as well. It's a great movement.
