My QC pics for latest v3?? According to KW case material (bronze) is different from previous caseset, now similar to gen. Leather strap has been updated too. There are some other changes too but I've forgot what else. Oh, this comes with the newly replicated thicker nato strap.

Nice watch, you are so quickly to get new V6F V3, I just get picture from TD' s wechat today, could you share more detail when you receive it?

AFAIK and as far as I can tell, the only difference is the bronze color, which is more shiny and gold like off the bat. Having said that, isn't it supposed to develop patina and become darker anyways? I quite like the darker case color of the v1 (I think the one posted above is the v2) and almost feel like that would be more gen like (once worn and used)

My kw patina very nicely, not sure how the new case will patina with less bronze content?

KW says the bronze material composition is now matched to be exactly the same as genuine, so it should patina similarly to gen.
New NATO is miles better than the old junk.
I didn't get this one from a TD on this forum, so I'm not sure about release timing.

Does anyone know if the lug to lug measurement is the same as the non-bronze Black Bay? I really like the bronze but the regular Black Bay is at the upper end of what I can wear size wise.

Thanks,
Andy

Puretime says the watch has a 15mm height. Is this right? Seems like a big difference from the steel BB? InTime says it's 11mm.

Didn't they also need to slightly correct the dial (too light) and bezel (too red) colours?

I don't think that the upgrades justify more than a 100$ difference in price.

I'm considering selling off my KW BB Bronze V1.
Realised that I'm not really a bronze watch person.

Has a little nick on the bezel I'm not sure why. Would anyone think that someone will still want it?

Yep, you won't have a problem selling one off. Someone might be able to correct that nick on the bezel insert themselves. But, how did you get that nick anyway? Was it always there?

Regular bronze, as used in the PAM Bronzo and Zenith Bronze Pilot are CUSn, or a mix of Copper and Tin

Tudor stated that their BBBronze is made of Alu-bronze, which has aluminum in the mix. This slows down the patina development thus the patination is more controlled and less 'patchy' compared to the more common CUSN8 bronze. So the Gen BBBronze will not patina with dark patches or green spots like the zenith and the Pam Bronzo.

And yes, theyre' also a touch more yellow or gold looking.

On a side note, its known that Alu-bronze is a slightly cheaper material vs CUSN tin bronze! so the factories might be saving up!

Alright guys. Stupid question. How do I wind this thing? Does it auto wind?

I have been trying to read about the Asian 2824-2 25J Automatic movement at 28800vph

But I cant seem to find what the different positions of the crown mean. Does it charge regardless of the crown position?

Obviously pulling it all the way out lets you set the date, but other than that I am clueless right now. Watch does not seem to be running at all

Thanks!

Yes it should wind regardless of crown position, it's an automatic movement and this just means there's a weighted rotor attached to the movement that will rotate as your wrist moves around, winding the watch. Crown position doesn't stop the rotor from winding but having a crown out when you're not adjusting time/date doesn't really make sense.. Keep it screwed in and just move it around and it should run by itself!

There's something about the crown being in a position that sets non existent dates, I'm not too clear on this as I don't have my watch with me yet.

Hmm. I'm worried this might be dead on arrival then. I have worn it for the last 3 hours and the second hand hasnt moved at all :(

I see the height of the KW being 15 mm the gen should be 12 mm.
Am I right?

Are bezels on most of these wobbly and loose? I'm about to pull the trigger and I really need to know. Cause I hate bloody loose bezels, that ruins the watch for me..

Bezels are wobbly (I wish I could say no)...I love mine but bezels bugs me too (I think there is an easy fix but I'm not a handy man at all so...I just learned how to live with it...aka: no playing with it.

I believe the height/width is pretty spot on (there are pics of gen and kw comparison in various bronze threads

zethunder : Thanks mate! Is it very wobbly? Does it feel cheap and rattly? I had a KW CrPO once that made the most horrid sound when I rotated the bezel. I wish they made them as good as Noob PAMs with rotating bezels ( like the 243 )...
