Jurgenk the dial on the 26237 differs to the 25721 series. the spacing on minute marks for the 'original 1993' & '20th anniversary' 25721 has 4 bars whereas the 26237 has 2 bars.

there has been 3 beast releases. Original 1993. 20th anniversary open caseback, 26237 25th anniversary.

the JF beast is a mish mash 20th/25th edition. the dial is 25721 with a blue printed date.
all beast frankens have a 25721 dial. not read any member sourcing the new 26237 dial.

Really nice beast... May I ask a few questions? Is this meant to be a 25721 or a 26237? And what did you do with the DW and the caseback? A grail for sure.

Like Garuda pointed out correctly the build features a 25721 dial/bezel combination. The base watch is a JF 26237 which I chose for the blue pushers. The caseback I had to switch out for an earlier JF (those with 17xxx on it) for the better geometry and to achieve gen thickness (it’s 14,4mm from bezel to caseback) which makes it even more incorrect for any reference. The DW is a modern style Mikeys.

Taking all of this into account, purists like legend will have to call this a fantasy build. I’ve always disliked this term but rather refer to them as custom watches ;).

I like your beast franken Revolper . It is basically the extent to which a beast franken is practically built and I do agree that the term "custom build" is preferable and can apply to all modded and franken builds in a broad sense. We discuss details and minute differences on the forum and they apply only here, but the truth of the matter is that in real life, I can wear my gen 26237 next to your watch and the casual observer will think that we own the same piece lol. It is basically how things go as you well know. :hehehe:

Most of what we discuss in here are academic and sometimes overly-analytical but knowledge of such details is what separates us from the casual observers in real life. Congrats on your beast franken and wear it well!
