This is Honts project watch btw, Hont made this happen..

Movement is not 7750, the seconds at 6 is not an issue for this movement, the gearing is different than the 7750 so not the same problems.

The engineering of this movement held this project up for many many months, it is not just a run of the movement, it was designed for a purpose,, and now you see it.

This is one watch that I can confirm is truly "Made from Genuine Example".

The metal part is not an issue, the genuine is designed similarly and there should not be any problems with this.

don't get me wrong, i love Hont, he has done me very well and if this is his baby, i wish him the very best. i do think this watch looks great but that metal part of the strap...looks like the rubber section should slide nicely under the metal piece, but it's clearly catching. it might just be this watch, others might not do this.

I am getting this watch. I think the rubber strap on the metal is OK. The version with chronograph also has similar strap.

I have already ordered the watch, once I receive it. I will attempt a mini review and also feedback on the strap.

Exactly. My first rep was an $88 Nardin that only suggests it's based on a gen.

i have to assume the small discrepancies we see in this particular watch is because it is the prototype. maybe hont will chime in about the lume and serial number plate.

My Nardin rep has the same style rubber strap with metal inserts. So far, no problems

If you look at Hont's video of the genuine watch, it shows that the serial number plate is gold colour.

I ordered it yesterday, and hont replies very quickly. Can not wait as I have been wanting a UN for a while. Anyone know exactly what movement this is? Obviously the real UN as in the video has a entirely blued movement, but the rest of the watch is dead on accurate!

why does nobody seem concerned about the metal part of the strap cutting into the rubber?

The strap is not cutting into the rubber as you think it is. The rubber as you see it in those sections is thinner than the rest as it is not a flat angle there, but curved. The metal there is also curved, and not sharp, so it can't cut into the rubber. What you're seeing is where the rubber is very thin, almost translucent, and of course due to how thin it is it's not a clean edge there. This is just the thin part of the rubber on top of the metal and the appearance it gives, which definitely won't look quite the same in person, shouldn't change due to wear, and if you're super careful that edge there can be trimmed if you're VERY good with a blade and take only a very small amount off.
