TWP Finally replied about my missing watch!!!!!

Well i reiceved an Email from TWP today and this is what he wrote me.

"Raheel

Selling counterfeit watches and keeping them in your possesion is illegal in this country. What can i do when the government comes to my home and takes the watches? That is the chance we all take in this game. Your $500 dollar loss is nothing when it equates to my $20000 dollar loss of inventory and another $15000 USD attorney fees. Your watch is gone and will always be gone. Now after shelling out $35000 K on this hobby (all in losses) your watch is pretty small in the whole equation! Again it is the chance we all take.

When dealers get good deals, they sometimes pass the savings on to the customer. I guess when dealers get screwed, they sometimes pass that on to the customer as well. Really sorry to hear it

but then, i have my own supplier, and dot risk business with u.s. dealer.. now wbk,

all he has to worry about is small, he does not import, buys after importation has happen..

sad business for those who do not know the ropes.. and in not knowing get caught with

seizure of large shipment.. and it gets much legally worse if one continues to import

counterfeit goods.. pisses off Homeland Security, and watchmaker attorneys..

then.... got kicked out of his house, having an affair, needs to go for 4 weeks to cabin,
going blind, feds come raid his house.....yawn !

i had a 6th sense not to deal with him, and certain members contacted me last year about TWP had screwed them....but nobody dared to write anything negative about him, because TWP was the best and most reliable dealer in here...
i had to take crap because i attacked him in here....now were talking !

In the end, does it matter whether anything was true or not? The only truth that matters is that people are out watches and money.... and that is very, very sad... this whole incident will weigh on the minds of the staff of each board...

You may be out your money and/or watch... but he is out his pride, self-respect, dignity, and honor... I feel sorry for him because a man with no honor in life is not a man....

Damn dude, you said it. I never knew him from Before, I only got into reps about 10months back. Only if i knew better i wouldnt have ordered from him.

yep it's sad...sometimes I find myself taking this hobby for granted and wondering when it will all crash in, I hope never.

It seems though for every dealer that gets caught 20 more spring up..oh well as long as we can keep a good supply of

trustworty dealers at RWI I'll be happy and enjoy it for now...

How is WBK doing, don't see him around much either, hope he's OK.

well, if he truly had the federales come to his house and take 35K in watches then he may have other problems.

1. if he is a doctor, he could lose his license to practice medicine
2. in my country, after proceeds of crimes are confiscated, the government can also assess taxes on the amounts confiscated so say 20K in watches was taken, he could potentially get hit with a bill for say roughly six grand in taxes plus applicable penalties and interest. again not sure how the IRS works, but should be similar.
3. forget about going on vacation. again, if he is charged, his passport could be revoked, or be black listed at the border.

anyway, that is just a few scenarios.

i never liked the guy after he ripped me off for a crown guard. it is the principle not the money. dont promise me for months that it is coming.
