I wanted to purchase a few reps from Toro as I know he is trusted dealer here, sent him PM on here and couple emails via his website to confirm that they are still in business and operational.... week has gone and not a single word back.... how can I trust sending almost thousand dollars over the Western Union when I can't even get a reply for a simple question?

Can someone recommend another dealer that has better communications and same stock(noob, H maker)?

Canada, but in Hungary... for now
I'm sorry you're going through this. It's frustrating, no?
Usually Toro's communication is pretty good, but I haven't seen him around lately. Was it the 2014 version of his website? He's gone through quite a few in the last few years.
FYI - most of the dealers can get ahold of the same stock.
Hope you can work it out soon.

Yeah it was 2014 in the domain, wanted to make sure its the right website as well and not some scammer mirror site.... I'm new to buying reps directly from TDs, I usually bought stuff from a guy in London who have most of the latest stock, but he have disappeared now.

You can try other TDs by sending out emails to them. Almost all of them sources from the same factories. Read their reviews first then send them an email, there usually is a "right feeling" when a TD is for you. Most of us here have a go to TD.

The business is not through PM, it is through website and email, we barely understand the simultaneous PM on 4 other forums, sorry about that. PM is mainly for verify you as a trusted member for different payment methods. Sorry to dissapoint you.

I think that your title it is not right if we haven´t even made a deal yet. With all due respect

For this the process is simple. You go on the website, choose watch, put watch in basket - purchase and pay or purchase and wait to be contacted. Have a 2nd watch in reserve if the first not available.

All "shooting e-mail to ask if available" is totally useless (except for some rare old models OR if You re paying by WU) because the TD (or his factory) will say YES in most of the cases and only check "if it is really available" upon receiing payment. Could also be available today (10 left) and all gone tomorrow (after You have paid).
If I pay via credit card or Paypal and the watch is NOT available I just get a refund or choose something else. This process ends up being much faster than waiting for e-mail replies etc.
Buy from whoever You want, but be aware that Toro is one of the top-guys in the business.

I didn't noticed that what OP sent was a PM.

To OP: Toro's right, the way we contact TD is thru their email and thru PMs. As I've said, send an email to our TDs

Hi Torro,

I did send you 2 emails on your website, with simple and straight forward question but never received reply (i used your contact us form). Regarding PMs I saw on forum notes that if I want to purchase a watch from TD the best practice is to send a PM besides I wanted to make sure that the website I was on was the right one.

I'm still keen to buy from you, if you can source the watches that I'm after and get them to UK with courier to speed up the process.

Ill try again to send you message via website.

The main thing to keep in mind here is that the TDs, Toro included, aren't just taking and fulfilling orders for our watches - these guys get God only knows how many emails and PMs and orders placed via their websites. So a little patience goes a long way. Frankly I'm often surprised at how fast the TDs are able to respond to the volume of inquiries they must get on a daily basis.

Because it´s a team work, there are a group of people working, not only one person. But again, the OP doesn´t has the right to be disappointed as we never made a deal, and I am sorry about that.

I've changed the title of this thread! I hope to hear back from you, I understand that you are busy and some questions might be silly to you and some I've seen around from new buyers can definitely be even bordering on ridiculous, however, when people send money via Western Union, it is important to make that first contact to make sure that money won't just disappear in thin air.

The disappointment was that I had high hopes for you as you seem to be the most trustworthy seller here but I didnt get any reply.

This has bad news potential all over it. I hope not the case.

But as mentioned before, I'm almost positive the TD's are blasted with requests and having to deal with this when english isn't their primary language. If you were disappointed that he never sent you the watch, that's one thing. But considering Toro is a TD here and other boards, you can rest assured you will have some protection from being scammed. They rely heavily on their reputation for service and quality.

Hope if all works out for the best in the end.

Been dealing with Toro few times, few times I asked about a watch and haven't bought it at the end but he has always been quick, patient, polite and helpful with all of my requests, even when I told him I won't buy the watch this time.

One of the best TD's around IMO. Keep good work Toro! ;)
