Let me guess.
ARF and ZF
or ARF and Gen lol
This is what first struck me about the post.
The second was how most of the makers say 904, even the newest on the block.

I’ve seen dhgate shitters now claiming 904L with 904L stickers in them
I don’t see an issue stating 904L, unless it’s used soley to price hike but hey, they can do what they like!
The test is good for us as we get the facts. Loving Angus insights again.

1) Being fairly new (two years of reading now) doesn’t mean that I am not able to understand what makers a TD is closer with now. It is clear that you have a particularly good relationship with ARF and ZF, after all you shared their information. Other TDs are sharing info from other factories. It’s normal.
2) Nobody questions your honesty and I am sorry if I haven’t clarified this before. We all know you say the truth and you are trusted and we all appreciate your info and the upcoming review.
3) I just noticed that there was a bias. If you are a member here you are meant to contribute actively. Some people here may be ignoring that there was a bias in the review. This famous bias was in fact confirmed by the fact that ZF organized the test. They were sure they were using 904L and others not (from your previous posts you told that ZF thinks that majority of clasps are 316L) so they organized the test to show they are better than others in this regard. This is a bias.
4) ARF heavily relies on 904L marketing. Release the same exact watch but advertising it as 904L (16610) increasing the price of almost 100$ is not marketing based on 904L? ARF is also mainly known for their steel finishing. They are certainly not known to be the most accurate reps at the moment
That said, thanks for your contributions, we all appreciate that! Hope to see your review as soon as possible. Just take my intervention as a constructive and polite criticism made not knowing that the review was going to be a complete review rather than just a steel comparison.
I’m glad ZF decided to foot the bill for the test. If other factories are profiting from the 904L markup but aren’t actually using full 904L, why shouldn’t they be called out.
How are you defining bias?
quick search brought this up:
Bias is a disproportionate weight in favor of or against an idea or thing, usually in a way that is closed-minded, prejudicial, or unfair.
I dont see how it fits this definition.
Off topic, what happens when you point this thing at yourself / someone else. Does it tell you what you are made of?
I won't spend time to engage in a discussion on the interpretation of the word bias. If you don't see the bias in a test organized by a maker itself I am perfectly fine with and I respect your idea. Also, just have a look on web and you will find that noob was tested independently other times and it came to be full 904L.
Just let's enjoy this upcoming review from Angus. Information is always a good thing.
Have a good day.
It might be biased for ZF but not for me, I just happened needing such a test to be included in my review so I took advantage of the ZF review, all the contestants in this review are advertised as 904L and we didn’t know any of them is a hybrid or 316, even ZF was not 100% sure his own version is a full 904 before the test but he has confidence because his supplier says yes.
Anyways I will do the rest of the review when ARF V4 comes out.

Good shit angus.its a shame zzf and rxf and vsf and noob all lied about using 904 steel
Is this confirmed? Afaik, the only watch which was tested by a forum member was the ARF... (true 904)
