The medium quality all-ceramic one that goes for circa $200 from various dealers... in White (ladies)

Has anyone compared this one to the gen? I really need to know how the bracelet compares to the gen on this one. I pretty much paid for the highest quality one but my dealer went through 2 watches already and there are constant brown/yellow flaws on the bracelets of these "high quality" J12s. So my dealer suggested I go for the cheaper one... It seems that people getting theirs have perfect bracelets... Anyway has anyone compared this cheaper model to an actual genuine?

If someone is wearing this one (with CZ bezel) and a gen in the same place will it be easy to call it out? But more importantly Im concerned with my first question, thanks.

To respond to your inquiry, I purchased a medium grade $200.00+ or thereabouts, white Chanel J12 with CZ bezel from Andrew (trustytime) for my gf.

We live in Las Vegas and the gen J12s are abound everywhere, we also have several AD and a number of Chanel stores that sell gens as well.

1. The bracelet looked shiney and almost irredecent, like the gen. It had no brown posts what-so-ever and no construction issues other then the 1 obviou flaw of the font (the J12 should have a different font 1) The watch is beautifull, the "diamonds" are sprakling and in the direct sunlight (or in the store lighting) the shine with as much fire as real diamond. The Swiss qartz runs perfect with no issues and almost no time loss (perhaps 1 second every couple of days)

2. We have walked into Chanel store and had them pull out a diamond J12, same model as the rep. The salepeople were VERY confused about why my GF would want to look at another J12, when hers was prominently on display on her wrist. We did not see or feel any difference in the weight, feel, material construction, but did notice a substantial difference in the pricetag.. :p

3. I went to Tourneu (spell) to check out their J12's and my GF handed over her rep to a saleperson, who did not have a diamond bezel watch in the store, just regular white and black J12s. We told him it was rep, but he looked at me an dmy gf, my gen Sub and decided we were kidding. He proceeded to tell me that he has seen real good replicas, but they were all SS and painted to look like ceramic, and he could easily tell the difference by holding them. He said that simply by holding my GF's watch he could tell it was 100% real. He thought we were kidding with him...

So buy with confidence. Its a specialty watch so if you live in awealthy place (like Vegas) no one will bat an eye at you or think its fake, if you live in a middle-class to poorer areas where you don't see a lot of high end watches/cars, people won't know what J12 is and will assume its real, because they have either never seen one, or rarely seen a real one. Good luck!

I've never seen the so called "top-end" 500+ model in person...
but my g/f has a 200+ one with CZ bezel and it is a great looking watch for sure like slk55 said. (head turner!)
she gets noticed by a lot of people everywhere she goes....
especially when she's about to pay for something at cashier....they pause for couple of second staring at her watch.....
the bracelet however had one very minor tiny scratch on it but was barely visible to naked eye...so it didn't bother us at all...

Everytime I see your name Maxse, and I think I speak for a number of people in this forum, I keep thinking that I can no longer use paypal with Joshua because of your selfish impatience outlined in this thread in excrutiating detail.

http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtop ... sc&start=0

The thread is locked as it should be and I post it here to remind anyone who wonders why I bring this up.

Maxse, you have caused inconvenience to many a watch collector here by filing your claim as you did. I have done a good deal of business with both Joshua and Andrew. They are both honorable men concerned about their reputations and their standing in the eyes of the members of rep forums, and there is no doubt that the matter would have been resolved had you not behaved in such a petulant manner.

The gist of this in a nutshell is that you owe everyone here and actually rep collectors around the world an apology for screwing up a viable payment method that makes the customer feel secure. Yes paypal sucks and all that but that is not the point here. You made a major ass guffaw and should as a matter of courtesy to your fellow rep collector extend a written apology to members of this forum for your actions. If you can see that what you did was not kosher then I am sure many here will feel better about you, if not well then so be it.

The so called mid grade 200 bucks version has got correct bezel font (the diamond does not show this flaw).. I got the top end version and it's very light like how the real ceramic should be but the bezel font is just off. Overall finishing is very good in this replica.

We should not start pointing finger. It may not be only maxse that has filled a PayPal claim. Accordingly he has apologized. Let us remember that Jos is not dealing with a single person. He certainly has a large customer base. PayPal may have launched an investigation to his account behaviour. Let it be the past and move on guys...

I was not aware that there was an apology issued, and if there was then I am the one who should apologize, but I cannot find that post. Also, I was informed by Josh and Andrew that it was this incident that directly caused Joshua's paypal account to be frozen. It is not my practice to point fingers at anyone if I do not have the facts straight.

Maxse I am sorry, but I think you should reconsider if reps are really the right thing for you...

And to be fair I think the apology referred to above was something along the lines of "whatever, I didn't know you don't file chargebacks and Jos brought it on himself". I am sorry, that doesn't cut it... no PP disputes is a golden rule that is easy to learn if you put a decent amount of effort into being part of the community, not just leeching answers off the community and trying to get as much handholding as possible with as little actual self education as possible.

I knew that before I knew not to ask who has the best sub.

well to be fair, he had mentioned that he did cancel or *tried* to cancel his claim (but i guess by that time it was too late) - no intention to cause problems... and that josh had mentioned "it wasn't him" but that's from maxse's words, not josh's.

either way, paypal sucks of the suckiest suck and it was bound to happen.

at least this way it'll prevent noobsters from causing more havoc.

edit: also, reps are REPS, be prepared to get crap sometimes. dont expect hi-qual b/c you paid more.

So... What should I do? Boot maxse out off forum? I doubt that is the best solution. It has happened and whether you accept maxse's word, that would be another story. I strongly suggest we move on. I can sense the potential of this thread to go out of control. maxse has made a major mistake and I do hope that his would not be repeated. Take it as very expensive lesson learnt.

Regardless, this topic isn't the right place for it and its been talked to death. If the mods didn't feel appropriate to ban him then, leave it. The dealers have their own place to discuss who they don't want to sell to.

His question was valid, and I was hoping to see some good responses from it, since my wife wants the same watch.

back to the topic... Ceramic is supposed to be highly scratch resistant. You should not see scratches on the bracelet or case. The dead giveaway on the top end ceramic model is the bezel font (if you're going for the non CZ version).

Someone can point out the difference between 200USD vs 500+ top end? I can't really say as I have only seen the 2 extreme. The 70USD one and 500+USd which i got from River for really really good price <-- last piece.

:p You never know... He may still have another one from personal stock
Anyhow, I have to get it quickly as my mum was bugging me because she broke her black J12's crown. It's really a good buy and no yellow spots or whatever on the bracelet as maxse's description.

man all this talk about the j12's & other chanel ceramics got me thinking i should get one for the g/f? she needs a good dress watch.

I've seen some attempt to do ceramic LOL ("Guess" watches with white paint on metal).

how are the differences between the 100 dollar vs 200 dollar versions? and is it really ceramic? or plastic???? i dont visually see a quality difference between the 200 vs 500? i must be blind :(

edit: and soon! i will have an avatar of my g/f wearing her chanel, just like Jiro!

No plastic! the 100 bucks version is just SS plated with so called "ceramic" or I should say ceramic colour. The 200 seems to be better and use real ceramic. I guess the best price/satisfaction/closeness to gen ratio would be awarded to the 200 bucks version.
