Hey everyone,

I’m considering ordering a Franken watch from Xing Patrick and having it shipped to the UK. I’m a bit concerned about customs and whether I should get insurance for the shipment.

For those who have shipped a watch from him to the UK:

• Did you run into any issues with customs?

• What was the declared value on the package, and did it affect import fees?

• Any general advice on the safest shipping method?

I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance!

@xing_david . As a Supporting Vendor you would be expected to be a little more accommodating and cooperative with you customers in the case of Customs seizures.
If you have no intention of working to resolve Customs issues with customers who have ordered parts/watches off you then this should be stated very clearly in your Terms and Conditions of Sale, which you don't appear to have taken the time to explain.

Update to make a clear and transparent view on the situation. Patrick offered to me a 10% refund and mentioned he can refund more since I didn't buy insurance. The bad thing is that he never told me that option exists 😞

Insurance against Customs seizures ? LOL.

Yet another reason to actually articulate your T & C's in written form so that the customer can make an informed decision as to whether to deal with you or not.

I often wonder how some of these dealers would survive in the real world with their shitty attitude towards customers.
