Hi all, I know there is an app called Kello for iphone.... is there a similar timegrapher for android or pc by anychance? Google seems to be yielding me junk!

These things won't work I'm affraid, at best it can detect the beat rate, but the build in microphone is not precise enough to allow an accurate reading of timing.

I doubt it, but in the end I don't know. It would requier to do some side by side tests with a regular timegrapher.

well I tried it and was convinced to purchase it. As one may guess there are so many variables that make some experimenting necessary in order to get reliable results.
For a start, it takes a quiet environment and results also depend on the mic sensitivity and loudness of the watch mechanism (or lack of it). For instance my DSSD is so quite that I am not sure I hear the damn thing even I press it against my ear :facepalm: In this case I guess it's necessary to open the case back.
Here's the results of my PAM that show a deviation of 9.9 BPH that equals to +40"/day. I will have to time it for a day and cross check but as far as I remember it does go fast

Well, it gives a result, but that result is not accurate at all.
I downloaded it again and tested a movement, first with my timegrapher, then with the app, both time in the exact same position, and I made sure to precisely follow the guidelines of the app.
Timegrapher gave a consistent +8s per day.
Kello gave a result moving between +20 and +27 s. per day.
No big surprise here, the microphones and the softwares managing them have not been desinged for the same kind of use.
Know it's an old thread, but I was able to use clock tuner for Android (on a nexus 6) to regulate my SOSF to +3 sec per day. Bought it m2m and it was off by about 15 to 20 sec per day. I found it's best to have caseback open and place watch open back down over the mic. I also verified this against my noob subc and PAM111 which I know are about+1 and +3 sec and it gave a fairly accurate reading. Here I am 3 weeks after setting against time.gov and my SOSF is +18 seconds. Don't know if I got lucky, but I took the$5 gamble since it was going to have to head out for regulation otherwise. I know the information is not as detailed as a timeographer, but it did what I needed in under a half hour. Hope this helps someone out.
