If you buy that watch and prove to Ebay that it was a fake by going to an AD, does Ebay cover your ass if the seller goes missing?
That guy has mostly sold 2 dollar items and now he is trying the Rolex scam with one of the shittiest reps I have seen.
His picture is there, he's been on Ebay for 12 years.
Also there is a 14 day return policy, how likely is it that someone is going to spend 2K on that watch and decide to keep it once he's got that piece of junk in his hands?
I might be too naive to think that very few people if any could be that dumb

There's a story I found on Google about some guy who spent months trying to get his money back from Ebay after buying what turned out to be a fake watch ...

I know - no disrespect intended - the mods do a great job here, we really do appreciate it.
You and Tucker been doing this a lot longer.
Maybe eBay considers me to still be an intern, or in my probationary employment period, so no bonus checks yet.

The episode is "Miri" and I think the word was "grups." That was a sad episode because hottie Yeoman Rand got the disease on her hot thigh.
The sad and scary thing is we are only catching the ones so obvious theres a friggin spotlight on how bad they are. I mean look at that listing. How stupid would you have to be to bid on something like that.
I'll tell you honestly, I *know* Rolex... having handled hundreds of gens while representing the brand for an AD. They even flew me up to NYC and put me in front of experts who trained me on minutia. And there are STILL a lot of reps that I wouldn't know for gen or rep just based upon photos - and a couple frankens with gen movements I probably wouldn't recognize as reps even if I opened the caseback. Heck, I'm wearing that $300 BK GMT I picked up last week right now and it even *feels* right. I have to remind myself its fake.
What we see and laugh about here is only the tip of the iceberg.

Yes, I reported a Panerai twice, maybe 3 times a day for about 10 - 12 days, just out of pure frustration and annoyance that they didn't take down the auction.
Then a few weeks later Ebay contacted me and asked if I would like to become one of their Panerai experts (unpaid) as I seemed to have a very extensive knowledge of Panerai and they didn't have any experts on the brand - thought it was a spoof email at first, but no, they were serious. . .
