I don't think there's any harm in posting to IG with some generic tags, what really grind my gears are the douchebag tags. Or posting pictures of reps in gen forums or groups.
I'm in the paneristi facebook group and someone posted pics of a rep 127. I didn't know whether to call them out or not. I think you should respect each community and post accordingly, posting pics of reps in gen forums is not respectful.

About "drawing attention to our little hobby" this insta account is the most innocent I´ve seen in years.
It´s the bad guys on ebay that draw that attention.

It's not like our hobby is invisible. Even the manufacturers probably have visited the forums (impossible not to be a tad interested). It's in poor taste to post reps and flaunt them as a show of wealth. It could attract the wrong kind of people. But that's on him. It does not and should not let it get to you. I've seen reps posted on gen forums/social media, but I just let the gen "experts" call the posters out. If the owner blocked you, then you must have done something. He would not single you out and block you without any provocation on your side.

Nope, definitely not because of a guilty conscious. I just don't respond to IG haters that try to make me feel bad about sharing my passions. I love watches. I love photography. That's it. Like it was said, I don't post with specific hashtags like pam127 or paneraicentral or anything like that. I keep it generic and focus more on trying to tell a story with each shot instead of just solely on the watch.
