I'm sure evilpenguin is a nice guy and obviously has serious skills in photography. But that is not the reason why people follow his IG account. To me that is a bit disingenuous.

Enjoy the pictures, and enjoy knowing that you figured out some were reps and don't be one of the D bags the cruises around the Internet calling out people for no reason other than to be an ass.
To be clear,
This is directed at no one,
just a general statement about how we could all do a better job getting along in this world and that this really really seems like a non-issue.

Oh, and one more thing.
If you walk around with a watch on your wrist that is a replica and do not tell every single person that comes in contact with you and your replica watch that it is in fact a replica, even without them asking,
it's hypocritical to say that penguin should post that his watches are reps.
You are assuming that everyone assumes they are real. That everyone is just looking at the watch, and that if they knew they were replicas that they would even care one way or the other.

Maybe I've just had a long day. Guess I'll go get a drink. LOL

Let me break this down for you. Another member on here told me about this IG page. I did not "study his pictures. I simply messaged him about it. that was it. Was it a dick move for me to post this here.... mmmmm after the fact i would yes. But Now I just don't give two sh!ts. This is silly people are still yapping about this. whatever... Im going to go on living my life now...

If someone is wearing a watch out in their community that happens to be a replica where everyone can see it and is not shouting from the rooftops "hey Ev'rybody come look at my replica. Just want to make sure everyone knows this is a replica. " they are doing exactly what you were doing on your Instagram page.
That's why complaining about it becomes hypocritical.

If you post an Omega rep or a Pam replica with the tag #watchaddict or #watchcollecting and leave out tags like #omega or #Pam, you are the same as someone who wears a watch out in the community and does not say anything about their watch just wears it on the wrist while visiting various scenery and says they are a watch addict.
It's what we all do.
It's a perfectly accurate description of most everyone here.
We wouldn't be here otherwise.

Since you do not use those specific tags I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone who wears replicas would have a problem with someone else wearing a replica in a photo.
I guarantee you that all the photos posted here on this and other forums can with a little work be searched and found on the Internet without using the search "fake watch".
And also, they are not and never have been fake watches. They look feel and function as a watch. They are genuine watches that are replicas of other Genuine watches.
Thats semantics though.

I went to lunch today and a short sleeve shirt with this on.

Clearly a replica but I did not tell anyone it was a replica. Neither the people I knew nor the people I did not know. Does that make me a bad person or should I have left my replica at home? Did anyone notice? Did the even care?
Here's where calling out people in photos becomes a problem to me. We all wear things on our wrist that are not legal to produce. At least those of us who wear replicas.

Personally IDGAF, going GEN is great if you have too much dough, but for me is not an option. I prefer to give my son and wife all they desire than invest thousands into a "real" watch.
I follow some watch guys on IG, but never questioned if they're real or fake, I look at IG mostly when I wake up or when I need to relieve myself lol
It's a fun thing and no more than that. I also follow some big b00bed gym babes so hey those are fake too lol
