Good tip. Don’t buy VSF gold unless you intend to replate it.

Ok that difficult to buy a good two tone watch, just stick to to stainless steel 1 color is basically what you say? Replate is (wrapping)

Personally I will never go for gold plated reps. Honestly, what can you expect for the plating quality of a couple hundred dollars rep

I wouldn't mind to pay extra but unfortunately there are no such options.. was reading about custom VSF wrapped gold but not sure if it's true or not

There's a 2824 that needs a repair in my TC16610, I was looking to replace it. I'd really prefer to fit a VS3135 in it but I'd need to find a dial and hands too, I just want an easy fix at the moment.

Hey everyone!
I have read some threads for the last couple of weeks and now I´m about to order my first rep.
But after reading a lot, I had realized today that there are two different Models: 116610LN and 126610LN. Shame on me!!
Before this realization I thought this Model (116610 VSF) is the best Model on market OOTB:

But the main difference of the 126610 is the better movement, I know. But my problem is a very small wrist. It's only 16,5cm (6,5 inch) and the 116610 is slightly smaller.

Can anybody answer me these two questions?
- Is the building quality of this both Models 12XX and 11XX the same or are there any other improvements besides the movement?
- Does anybody have a small wrist too and experiences with the bigger size of the newer Model? Would I notice that or should I go for the smaller one? Unfortunately I have no chance to compare these both on my wrist..

i don't think you will see the difference, i have a wrist long 20cm and this is the effect with the 126610

The 12xxxx is actually only about 0.5mm larger than the 11xxxx and I find the 1mm wider bracelet on the 12xxxx watch to be better balanced with the case size. Also, the 3235 movement in the 12xxxx watch is quite a large improvement over the 3135 movement in terms of power reserve. However, at the moment it is not possible to buy spare VSF parts for the 3235 movement, but it is possible to buy spare (generic low cost) parts for the 3135 movement. This means that if your watch ever needs spare parts during a service, it's more expensive to get spares for the 3235 than it would be to get spares for the 3135. This may change in the future since the 3235 is still new, and it's likely that companies like Clarks will start to manufacture generic replacement parts soon enough. And perhaps we'll even see VSF 3235 movements for sale on AliExpress. But for now, the only source of spares for the 3235 are expensive genuine Rolex parts. All that said, I would go with the 12xxxx. It's a beautiful watch. I own 3 of them (Kermit, Cookie, and black). Good hunting.

The 126 sits better on the wrist in my view as it is less “blocky” - the slimmer lugs are more akin to the more elegant looking 5 digit subs. The difference is bezel size is immaterial to the overall look of the watch. My opinion of course, others will differ.

I actually prefer the 116.

Sure, the slimmer lugs on the 126 make the shape a bit nicer, but I find it wears quite a lot larger. Its not so much the .5mm on the bezel, rather the wider bracelet...

Will probably flip mine as its not getting much wrist time at the moment....

I found this Video on YT. The man has about the same wrist size like me and I think both watches looks great on his wrist:

The only thing I think I linke more is the smaller bracelet from the older one. It probably won't be the only one and a friend would like to buy a Rolex as well. So I will order the newer one next time for comparison and will keep the better fitting.

I took out my Kermit today, unscrew the crown for winding but instead the whole crown fell off the watch

If you’re going to spend the money, send it off to Nikz to get it replated. You want to change the colour and wrapping will give you more of the same while replating will change it from cheddar gold to instead what you’re looking for. Or just go with the CF.

Hello again!
I´ve ordered my first Rep and got my QC photos today.
Although I asked for a S39 version, they send me photos from an S19 version.
Does anybody know the differences between this versions?

Is this VSF? Should I go for Serial S39?

I´ve asked for S39 and this is the answer:
"Please note that the watch in QC we sent you is from the latest version.
Serial number starts from S39 doesn't relate with the version."
