So the factories have produced a 21mm bracelet for the 41mm model rather than just stick the old 20mm on it yeah?

The 41mm sub (reference numbers starting with 12) has a lug width of 21mm. Of course they need to put in a bracelet with 21mm end links.

There are people, who are already complaining about SEL gaps on the 40mm subs. Imagine how a 41mm sub would look like with a bracelet with 20mm SELs?!

The 41mm has a new and updated case design with 21mm lugs so bracelet was also updated. It’s no longer on a maxi case with 20mm lugs

Both models may look similar in photos however wears different in person on the wrist

Make sure you use the right screwdriver size. Another method I've tried would be to lube the bracelet.

Rolex did make the 12 series a mm bigger, and also the bracelet end links a mm wider.
VSF/Clean did make 12 series the same as Rolex did.
