Vsf has the best case..
it may be my ocd but imho the vsf also wears different due to the better case shape. I always *feel* the cf being a tad too big (lugs are too beefy and the crown guards are just rubbish).

But for the submariner hulk the review says go for clean because their ceramic and dial are superior?

I agree, the case is near perfect to my eye (recent VSF on the left and gen on the right). I know the rehaut has previously been a weak spot but to the naked eye it looks pretty close to me. My friend let me compare to his gen and safe to say we are both shocked how close it is! Only thing that lets it down is the clasp. Holding both of them that is the main weak spot. But from what others have said the clean bracelet is better.

I can say the vsf hulk dial is really good. Idk if the clean is superior, as i don't have one in hand. The insert should be on par, after all it's both clean, afaik.

The main advantage of the CF is the rehaut, main negative (for me) is the case shape.

I agree, the case is near perfect to my eye (recent VSF on the left and gen on the right). I know the rehaut has previously been a weak spot but to the naked eye it looks pretty close to me. Yeah, the ceramic insert. The green color / engraved numbers is pretty good on the vsf.

I didn’t know vsf uses clean’s ceramic bezel.
I guess I’m off to order these 2 then.

I still can’t believe how close some super clones are to gen these days.

Yeah but it was kinda biased. It compared a 3-4 gen older VSF against a brand new clean. New VSF are different ^^

I might have an unpopular opinion, but at least on the 116x models, i think the vsf bracelet is actually better than the clean/arf.

My vsf "7gj" wears much better. And that was out of the box! The glidelock is smooth like butter. One small letdown is the center part of the endlinks, which is not as crisp/sharply defined - but in real life that's not an issue -

My arf/clean "1ld" bracelet on the other hand is also good, but i had to refinish it a bit. The glidelock is also inferior. But there might also be batch variations.

Not sure, these VSF full gold plated watches have a plasticy feeling coating over the top of the gold plate to protect it. It's not gold though, there's as much gold (Au) in it than there is on a chocolate sweetie wrapper - none.. and the colour is nothing like Rolex 18k YG either. I belvie the VSF TT watches are the same off colour.

If you intend to have it plated, the VSF is best option for a TT or PM rep. I think CF is pretty good out the box for gold colour.

I will have my VSF 116618LN plated by Nikz one day when I have some spare cash. What a watch that will be!!

Very helpful thanks, for me I was going to have it plated right away so I was more wondering if you would choose VSF or Clean given the choice made to already have it plated. VSF it is.

Surprised how much more clarity and less reflection there is in the gen xtal compared to the VSF which is known to have a good xtal. As always gen is gen.
