I'm um'ing and err'ing about adding the 799 to the Pam stable, I have the 985 and both the 1616 and 1661 on their way, with the addition 799 there might be too much of a blue lume overkill, then again, I love the contrast of the FC Bezel and Ti case...

I was thinking the same thing - that there's too much blue. With the 985 and the 799 and the 1616 - is it too much blue?

But 1. I like blue and 2. I fvcking love them all. I mean like I really do love every one of them. I do have moments of "the 1616 is just too black" but I really like it.

And the 1661 I think might be more of that where it is just all black (carbotech) and blue but I can't see a world in which I do not get it.

I do think about adding a Datejust Project occasionally and I know most people have the blue dial high on the list of choices for a Datejust. But I just know I'll never get the blue dial because my collection has enough blue.

However, I will say (and I just posted this in the Pam wristie thread) the 799 is one my favorite reps and favotrie watches. Also, it gets the most comments, notices, and 2nd glances out of almost any watch.

I aldo really like and want the 690 too. I just don't think there's any way to avoid the blue. Lol.

I feel your pain..
In 2009-10 I sold a collection of ~25 PAM, went out of the hobby, lost completely interest. Won’t repeat that mistake again..

Unfortunately what I'm looking for they no longer make, 253, 187, 243, 029 to name but a few, had them all and sold them, a bit like you, in the early 2010s feel out of love with it all.. been in a rebuild phase for a couple of years, 2020, if we all make it out of it safe will be the year of the Pam for my collection.. getting the Subs in first and will then move onto the Luminors and Rads
