New 4-line 6538 coming soon
That looks awesome. Whose dial & hands are you using?

Silix isn't a bad place to start. The biggest problem for me was the lug chamfers. I tried cutting them with a dremel and the results were pitiful. But there are people here who can do them well.
If you find that you want greater accuracy the only way to go is the Vietnam cases, which are roughly 10x the price. For me it was worth it, but many are happy with the silix builds.

And the 7922 I built over the winter:

With a bit of work you can have respectable chamfers on a silix/cartel case too
but yes, Vietnam is the only way if you want a proper case and especially if you want a real gilt dial.
Very nice build btw!
Anyone know a source for plexi crystals that will fit gen spec 6538 cases? I've cracked 3 GS T19s now, trying to shave them down to fit...
I really like the look of these big crowns. Are the assembled 6538's on Silix's site (21j movement) a good starting point for a decent looking watch? I see mention of Silix cases but not sure if the assembled watches are the same as just the case Silix sells.
I am really just looking to either get a aged dial or age the dial myself and scuff up the outside case and band. Other than that, I would be happy with the watch without making the minute changes to make it more 1:1.
Thanks!
