Thanks a lot mate, I thought it only applied to the dial, I didn't realize that the inner bezel also used to be shiny and only the recent ones were matte. Then I guess the shiny look is not at all a flaw on the 15703 v10, on the contrary it's an improvement, great news

doesn't look too bad. What i saw now on a quick glance is quite good.
Gonna take look on my Laptop when I come home .
Even the 15710 looks like it has a shiny diving bezel:

Well, let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet.
BUT THAT THING LOOKS DAMN GOOD
that's more lie satin or what I referred to as matte. I'll have to take pics in daylight to illustrate, but the new JF inner bezel is really super shiny.
The good news is that the finish can be matted, if one really desires bro.
Aha my good friend comes to my rescue I was wondering about that, whether it can be done without damaging the markers on the bezel.
Just to better illustrate my point, here's a pic under natural light, and to be specific it's not just shiny, it really looks lacquered/varnished
Now I'm curious as to how the ZF will look like
Yes it can definitely be done without affecting the bezel markers and lume T

There has been more than 12 iterations of the AP diver from Noob and JF alone and counting releases from other factories, there are maybe 18-20 versions of the replica of this same model. None of them got the watch perfect of course. Not one. The ZF release seems to have a better dial, hands and dive bezel compared to JF, from the pics. The cyclop and datewheel needs to be studied to determine the accuracy.
A movement clone isn’t necessary especially for a closed caseback but they could at least learn from XF and use a 2836 instead of a 2824. The date roll transition is nothing less than annoying as the AP3120 caliber features an instant date change.
So ok an updated “ideal build” diver for me(and this is my opinion, not the biblical truth)
- ZF dial, hands and dive bezel
- XF 2836 movement modded to swiss lowbeat and the modern font dw from the xf ceramic diver (my personal choice)
- I’m indifferent to the case, crystal, crowns and caseback. I’m willing to bet that while differences WILL exist when comparing any of the iterations to gens on the boards, there are no blatant tells in these aspects in real life. I’ve seen used gen AP crystals which look worse than a stock JF crystal. And I’ve seen wears on the gen crown rubber which make you question the authenticity of the watch.
But whatever you choose for yourself, it is easy to agree that the AP 15703/06/07 diver are replicas which aren’t worth buying gen. Are they 1:1 to gen? Definitely not. But are the differences worth the 28-30x price difference? Again it’s an easy no for most of us unless you’re an AP diver fanatic. So let’s be more accepting of new diver releases and not be over critical of their perceived flaws. Yes they are not perfect. But they are $500 watches at the end of the day. If you look at what AP is asking for the gen, you will see the inherent and undeniable value of rep.
