Unbelievable review and so insightful. Thank you so much

If the knowledge member(s) in meteorite dials could also share their buying tips (and how / where / with who) it would be great as lot many TDs can get those.

I know SW are on Alibaba (they also sell dial and matching hands packages) but would be interested to source a shengzen one 😁

I guess you could start by asking your favorite TD to source things for you, but TDs aren't good at sourcing many of these at that level, from my experience. They certainly won't show you batch after batch. Two TDs told me that factories went out of business because they either didn't have access to the factory, didn't want to do extra work, or were just lazy.

Plus, most of them seem bothered if you ask for anything other than stock. Buying tips is hard on the forum because the moderators want everyone to use TDs. And once you go down the rabbit hole of Chinese factories, TDs aren't the most reliable, and they tack on their fees, which are already exorbitant. I listed factory names in the review so you could do your due diligence and hopefully find a resource to assist you.

This is why I left off any tips for buying. I can't/won't post anyone in particular because it will come across as "shilling" for someone. Especially non-TDs. That is why I also omitted the part where you should have your watch plated if you want an authentic gen look. Only two people are any good at plating, and god forbid you post anything about liking someone's work.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Can’t imagine how much time, effort and energy went into this. Fantastic write-up and comparisons. Was well worth the wait 👏

Awesome review, happy to see someone take so much time into looking at the different factories.
I Ordered a lot of different ones as well, and from personal experience, price/performance BUFF is my top dog, but if you want top notch quality with no concern for money, Oascoms are the way to go.

I am not gonna comment on anything since I will be seen as "shilling" again, but I will say this:

A dial without feet, debatable print and murky date window frames, where half of shippings arrive broken -> not really a "gold standard".

Merry Christmas.
How many dials did u get from @Oascom?
I’m super happy with mine (it’s GMT though).

Great review!

I have done the same comparison one year ago. The dial is one aspect, but printing and subdials should be fine too.

My choice was the Noob. Frank I have to say that bezel & strap are a bit shitty.

Amazing comparison! Kudos to you Sir. Hats off!

Like I said many times I'm not really a dial maker but I love doing it and with each small and limited batch I do I also try to improve things and my techniques.

The fairly big upgrade early next year is a got ahold of swiss company that does print plates (they did for Rolex too) as well as premium Swiss print inks. This together with my newly redesigned artwork should improve the look:)
I'm also saving up for fairly expensive swiss pad printer. But that the next upgrade.
My newest dials can come with dial feet installed if that's what customer want, it's not a problem for me to do that. I personally prefer without them as not to make the dial too thick like all Chinese ones. Too thick dial cause hands issues, steam pressure etc.

Thank you again for even considering me here, and in wish you all Merry Christmas / happy holidays and New year!
