Question:
NH05 fellas, I keep imagining that you don't have enough space underneath the dial to fit a DWO, do you?
On the 2671 a DWO fits because the datewheel is sunken, so it can be built up taller with a DWO.

One of the things important to me for this tiny build was to find hands that had no lume, and hands that were long enough in length to satisfy the look I'd wanted. Lots of rep hands for 2671 etc are too short in length for me. To add hands to this build I used an hour and minute hand for 2035 movement and seconds hand for 2135 because their holes are the same as their 2671 counterpart.

Something I didn't notice in the flesh, but do notice very obviously on uploading a photo to RWI is how the seconds hand looks a completely different shade of yellow gold from the seconds + minute hand (because its from a different watch and all 3 hands aren't originally one set! LOL!
I also have GMF 2671 hands for 28mm that happen to be the perfect length for a 26mm dial, so I may swap to those for all one colour goodness.
Though I do expect to make a couple more of these 26mm builds with various gen and rep cases etc as I continue to try stuff out so might use the hands regardless of them looking odd ;)

I'm not sure whether to pop these watch guts into my old style RLX case. Which is a strange choice because it's not period correct to put such a modern dial and date disc in an old case.

OR
I might quickly fully yellow gold plate the 20 dollar case I have to become an all golden modern 69178 watch. I've ordered from AliX a presidental style bracelet with solid endlinks, to see if that modern style of bracelet happens to fit the RLX inspired case.
We shall see.

Where did you get in your build?

All finished, and with a working rlx datewheel overlay. Phew. Thank you OP for such a brilliant thread. And I was sorry to gatecrash it with my ramblings so often. Everything was very simple just after I'd sorted out a movement holder and used a dremel to modify that plastic holder. And after I had crucially found a strong and thin enough tape to affix the DWO and dial to the movement.

I think it must be impossible for you NH05 guys to apply a working DWO AND Get a set of hands tall enough to be applied to the dial. There is just no space behind the dial to apply a set of hands once a dwo is in place. Luckily the 2671 movement's sunken datewheel JUST allowed me a fraction of movement enough to have a nicely working watch.
Have you guys made anything fun lately?
